Review summary

If you are used to large ships with all the bells and whistles then you may not care for this ship. This was our first cruise and had heard horrible things about her. I was expecting to be disappointed. I was not disappointed at all. The ship was great. Yes, it's small but its very manageable. You got to meet people and see them again and again. It felt nice. If you have kids, they may be bored. As adults, I felt I didn't have enough time since there was always something to do to keep you busy. I would definitely do another cruise on Enchantment.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Had the buffet for breakfast most days. There was a good variety of food and it was always hot. Had MDR for most nights. The food was excellent and it was served at a good temp. I didn't feel like it was left there waiting. Had dinner at Chops one night and it was fantastic. The service was excellent and the food was so good.

Boleros Lounge

5 out of 5

Probably my favorite lounge on the ship. The music was always great. There was never a huge line at the bar. It was close to the casino. What's not to like?

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
The pools never seemed crowded except for one rainy morning when everyone ran into the solarium.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
DJ was great. The guest shows were excellent. The house performers were just OK. Their voices didn't match up very well so they sounded off. The dancers were great. Mey, the cruise director was excellent. That woman has energy for days and you can't help but be in a good mood when you are around her.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Can't say enough about the staff. They were always checking in to see if we needed anything and to check if everything was going well. The waiters remembered I wanted an espresso after dinner and remembered what I liked to drink. They remembered our names from day 1.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Despite the ship's age, she was impeccably clean. Rugs were spotless, chairs weren't stained. Everything was clean.

Ports of call

Piraeus (Athens), Greece

4 out of 5
Only spent a couple days before boarding. Saw the Acropolis. Get there in the morning. It gets very crowded even during off season

Mykonos, Greece

Went to Delos which was very interesting. Mykonos didn't live up to the hype.

Santorini, Greece

Beautiful! Pictures don't do it justice. Not for people with mobility issues. The wait for the cable car can get quite long. Luckily we took a bus and didn't have to wait to go up. I can see how this would be a big minus for people but I would say give a go at least once.

Souda (Chania), Crete

5 out of 5
This was probably my favorite of the 3 islands. People were so nice and there seems to be a lot to do. I would definitely go back to Crete.

Palma De Mallorca, Balearic Islands

My second visit to Palma and loved it. Easy to walk around. The hop on hop off bus made it easy to see lots of things. We went to Bellver castle which was free on our port day. Great food.

Barcelona, Spain

I had been to Barcelone before but hadn't been there very long. This visit made me want to go back. There was so much to do. The food was great, the people were lovely. It made a great second impression.
