The cruise ports were excellent. The ship is very old and the entertainment wasn't that good. They had the same band playing over and over multiple times. The shows where not good. We did have two medical evacuations by the Coast Guard and they did an excellent job. We have been on Enchantment before and this will be the last time due to the condition of the ship and the entertainment. The cruise director, Bobby, we hardly saw. The entertainment crew was ok.
Embarkation

Had to wait longer then normal.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
The main dining room food was excellent as well as the waiter and assistant waiter. Wind Jammer-not so good as people were using their HANDS instead of the tongs to pick up food! This is gross. It was a lot better when the staff served you. The Wind Jammer was not that clean and the tables were not cleaned after people left.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
We stayed at the pool one time and the solarium two times.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
No welcome aboard show. We didn't go to some of the shows as they were not interesting. We had a comedy team which was great. Love and Marriage is back. This was OK but seemed like the cruise ship director, Bobby, was rushing the participants to answer the questions and not go on. Disappointed in no sail away party on the pool deck and goodbye show on the last night. No late-night comedy either. Disappointed in the entertainment.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Our waiter Alvito and the assistant waiter, Dustin in the main dining room were excellent. They went above and beyond to serve us and to make sure everything was ok. Andy was our room attendant and he made sure everything was clean and taken care off.
Ship Quality
2 out of 5
The ship is old and either needs to be retired or completely updated. There was rust all over. Our water in our cabin was yellow, then brown. We asked them to fix it and we were given another room just in case it couldn't be fixed. One excuse we were given was the ship is old and it may not be fixable. It did get fixed but by the last day, the water was again brown.
Cabin / Stateroom

This cabin is an inside cabin and is small. The bed was comfortable. There was enough storage space for two people. We used magnetics to hang our hats, bathing suits to dry. I always wipe down the cabin with sanitary wipes when we first go in. Just to be safe. Bathroom is small and the shower curtain is just a curtain that sticks to you. If you are on the bigger size, you will have a hard time in the show moving around.
Usually, we do not get off at Nassau but this time we decided to walk over to Margaretville. This was not a royal caribbean excursion. It wasn't bad walking except you get hounded by all the folks asking to braid your hair or come in their store to shop. Margaretville is only a 15 minute walk and it was fun.
This was the first-time visiting Charleston and we loved it. The port is clean, and everything is within walking distance. We did a Royal Caribbean excursion which was a tour of the city. This wasn't that good as the tour guide was not that knowledgeable. We couldn't go and explore as the sites where either off limits or they were having church services. We ended up taking a horse and carriage ride. We got the coupon through Groupon and that was excellent. The driver was extremely knowledgably of the city, and we had fun learning a lot about Charleston. We will definitely be back to Charleston.
I agree. The ship is falling apart at the seams. Also agree about the entertainment, and lacking enough help everywhere. We waited a half a hour for the waiters during breakfast, never were offered pastries, juice. We almost left, but the windjammer was like a covid free-for-all. People snatching and grabbing food. Ugh, I hate that. I felt sorry for the waiters, they were swamped.
Glad you enjoyed, however, I suspect the reason you didn't see the Cruise Director much was due to COVID restrictions. I'm an Activity Director for a Retirement Community, we had similar restrictions early in the pandemic that weent much different than the crew on ships have now.
