Ship: Enchantment of the Seas

Review summary

The passengers and crew were as friendly as ever. It was wonderful being on a ship without facemasks and getting to meet new people at shared tables.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Port of Baltimore is easy and friendly

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Only specialty restaurant option is Chops, friends bought package and were disappointed not to have other options (got tired of Chops). Best meals were steak quesadilla for lunch in MDR and salad in Windjammer. Sadly this is a low bar, other meals were okay but not what I expect/hope for from RCCL.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
Pool and hot tub were nice but small ship offers limited options. There were limited other activities with a heavy reliance on trivia and karaoke.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Headliner and RCCL production shows were great but I enjoy and expect nightly shows and there were none offered 2 nights of the 8 night cruise. Also the 9:30 shows were rushed with 8:00 dinner time. One night the show was at 9:45 and made it so much more practical.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Inconsistent levels of crew availability, especially in bars. The crew available was mostly great (especially George and Marvin in the Diamond club, Costa cabin steward, Jose assistant waiter and Rommell in Boleros), but truly seemed RCCL has increased passenger numbers but without increasing crew.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The small ship has charm but I missed a few more options that the slightly larger classes offer.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
The Jr. Suite bathroom (tub) was nice but the noise from pool deck made sleeping a challenge so maybe not worth the money.

Ship tip

Ross in the Schooner Bar offers an energetic late night show.

Disembarkation

Self assist was great and again Baltimore is an easy port.
