I love cruising. It’s relaxing and you can ditch your diet. But this little Cruise got off to a bad start by being delayed more than 24 hours, so we lost one of the two ports of call on our short itinerary. This is just one of those things that can happen on a cruise, and the management made the best of it by crediting back pro rated amounts for package deals, and of course, any missed excursions. The ship, however, is in need of an updo, and is missing many of the bells and whistles found on larger ships. Still, it’s a great deal for a quick getaway!
Embarkation

Not their fault, but still it was the worst I’ve ever experienced. Just hours before the ship arrived at port a fatal boating accident had occurred so the port was closed while the authorities looked for bodies.

Food and Dining
3 out of 5
If you’re used to bigger, newer ships, you’ll miss the lack of dining venues. This ship relies on the buffet a lot, and there weren’t enough selections. Gluten free items were seldom seen or off to a hidden corner. The Chops Grille - the one specialty restaurant, was very good.
Onboard Activities

The fitness center and spa are a firm ‘meh’. There is no sauna or steam room or therapy pool. The staff was outstanding however and kept the games going.
Entertainment

The stage shows that were big production were well done, but the side venues needed more and better musicians.
Service and Staff

Great group in this ship. Sunny attitudes, helpful whenever called upon and easy to find. Management must be excellent.
Ship Quality
2 out of 5
Time for a makeover on this ship. It showed signs of wear and tear. Chipping paint on elements of the exterior, dented interior trim, and the carpet is about done.
Cabin / Stateroom

Well kept but colors are out of date. There was no robe in the cabin and the shower had a curtain instead of a sliding door. Everything worked fine though and the bed was reasonable.
Just walked around the port shopping area and saw the usual tourist things for sale. It’s a good area to pick up something for the kids. Prices are jacked up, so feel free to dicker.
Easy peasy. This assumes that there will be lines and broken fingernails from dragging luggage or carryons. But once your group has been called to go, it’s pretty expeditious.
That's horrible about the boating accident! The older ships do have curtains, they're annoying but not terrible. You can request a robe but they no longer automatically provide them due to having to wash them every time.
