Horrible 1st impression of Royal Caribbean. Probably will not cruise with them again.

Took way too long for ship to take off. Was onboard 5 hours before ship took off and couldn't get in our cabin for 4 hours!

Service in main dining room was the only good service we got. Food was just mediocre and menu barely changed from day to day. If you wanted really GOOD food, you had to pay extra, even on formal night! Buffets...same every day.
Onboard Activities

Half the equipment in the gym didn't work. Pools were OK, except the adult pool was indoors so too hot to stay in there very long..no breeze. Big screen TV, so old you saw spots all over it. Entertainment in the theater was fairly decent..comedians were pretty good, tenor singer was great. No variety of activities nightly. Trivia games every..boring after 2 nights. Bingo too expensive!

Worst room steward ever!! Even asked for towel animals every night, got 2 total. He was not friendly nor personable.
Dining manager was a jerk. He jumped all over our waitress in front of us, yet she was the best server we had overall.
Ship Quality

Our drawers had hair in them that we had to clean out before unpacking. Windows were never washed. 2 elevators were broken the entire trip. It just looked dingy, not kept up well.

Don't go on that ship!!!! It was my 1st Royal Caribbean cruise and I wasn't impressed at all. Carnival cruises I've been on were amazing!!!
I believe this is a fake review. No cruises listed, no pictures. I’ve heard lots of recent good reviews on the Enchantment. If it’s not a fake review then cruising is not for you
That’s funny cuz we cruise RC all the time and wouldn’t do Carnival again unless it’s free. No one cleans windows very often if you have an ocean view, our first Carnival cruise was an ov on Fantasy, windows so salt stained you couldn’t see out them. Each to their own. Enchantment wasn’t a great choice compared to their Oasis class, you snooze you lose
It seems like cruising isn’t for you. We love Royal Caribbean. You mention great Carnival cruises you’ve been on, but list no previous cruises in your profile. As far as being on the ship 5 hours before it left, unless there was a delay, you should have known what time the ship left, so that shouldn’t have been a surprise. The rooms are normally available by 1:00 pm, so you either boarded extremely early or the ship was late getting into port and caused a delay.
