Enjoyed this cruise with RC. I have been on two previous RC cruises many years ago, and would love to go on another one and try another ship to visit other ports.

Ship Quality

The ship was clean and comfortable, but a bit outdated. It is in need of a facelift inside and out!
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Cabin was clean, but needs to be updated as well. Beds were okay, but could have been a little more cushioned for comfort. In the bathroom, we did not like to have to keep touching the toilet lid to flush it. And especially in the public restrooms! On the morning we docked in Progreso, there was an awful smell of something burning. It permeated our cabin and was very sickening. I checked with some of the stewards and they said it might be that they were working on the AC.
No excursion, just road in on the bus, then walked to the area beach which we enjoyed very much. Had an umbrella and chairs, had a wonderful strawberry margarita and just tipped them for letting us sit there. Loved swimming in the water and looking for shells!
Cozumel itself is nice, and there are fun excursions that we've done before. This time we took the ferry to Playa del Carmen to see Chichen Itza Mayan Ruins. We were very disappointed, not in seeing the ruins, but in the amount of time we got to actually spend walking around enjoying them. The information was not very clear in saying that we would have a 2 hour+ ride there and back. We were aware of the 45 min ferry ride, though. By the time we did all the traveling to get there, we felt hurried. And we had to eat our lunch in the van on the way. Felt we did not get our money's worth on that excursion! But our tour guide, JJ, gave us tablets and explained all about the ruins and the Mayan culture, which was great!
