We are very laid back people and didn't need much to keep us entertained. We had the drink pkg, the pool, the shows, the game shows, the shopping and the food. We didnt do much more than that besides the ports of call.
Embarkation

Fantastic!! Because we were suite guests, we got to bypass the long line of people and get right on. We got out of our car at 10:30 and by 11 am we had our first drink in hand.

Food and Dining

MDR was great! Chops Grille was awesome as well. Buffet in Windjammer was ok... very crowded and like a herd of cattle going through. Food was ok.

Our fav spot on the ship! Every time we walked up they called us by name, and knew exactly what we wanted to drink. :) Melchor, Charles, Ceasar and Sangeeve were all amazing!!

MDR was amazing! I got to try so many new foods.... duck, lamb, escargot. Jessie and Jess were our wait staff and they couldnt of been nicer. One night I did pay extra for the lobster and it did not disappoint.

We loved this place! We did one dinner in here, we also enjoyed our complimentary breakfast for suite guests and we also did a sushi class in here one afternoon. It was awesome!
Onboard Activities

For adults, it was ok....we swam and drank basically the entire trip. Nighttime was much better than during the day. Not enough shows in my opinion, but we still had a great time.
Vitality at Sea Spa

Not a fan... i've had many massages and this one was lacking. It was not a 50 min massage like I paid for ($152) yes...that's right....it was expensive. Plus they tried pushing other things at me and products. annoying!

The shows were great, just not enough of them.
Service and Staff

All but one staff member was great! My sister came across a very rude bartender in the Solarium near pool. We had the drink pkg. and she ordered a drink and then the guy said you need to sign this...and she it said her total was $13... she explained that she had unlimited drink pkg. and he said well, that's not what the card says. (We had already been to numerous bars and no problem, not to mention the card itself said on it unlimited drink pkg.) She said she was not going to sign it, and he started yelling her name loud as she got up and started to walk away---with her drink. It was so embarrassing to her. We went to guest services with the ticket he wanted her to sign and they called the guy in charge of the bars. He fixed it and apologized. However, when they did check the card, it didnt register as having the drink pkg. but it still said it on the card. WEIRD> either way, the guy was a jerk.

We LOVED our room! Great location, near elevators but not to close so it wasnt noisy. It was very clean and our room steward was awesome... Priscilla! Being in a suite was amazing, we had 3 of us on this trip (siblings) It had been many years since we shared such close quarters and this was the perfect size room. The bathroom was really large and plenty of room for us all.
I live in Houston, so I have been to Galveston many many times. The Strand is a great place to start, with many stores and of course La Kings (ice cream/candy shop) is a must. The Railroad museum is great as well. The beach is nothing to get excited about....it's water is brown and usually a lot of seaweed. I grew up with it, so it's not that big of a deal to me, but people who are used to white sand and blue water would be in shock.
This port is just getting started... the vendors were super annoying "want to buy this? want to buy that?". We just had to get it in our head to say "no thanks". The beach was small but nice. The water was clear and sand was white and soft. We rented a table, chairs and umbrella for the day for $20. The vendors on the beach were extra annoying. We bought bracelets for the kids at home and once we did that, every vendor thought we'd buy something.
We were super busy in Cozumel, it was so pretty. We swam with the dolphins and manatees and had lunch there as well. We never made it to the beach itself, which was disappointing. But, that was our decision. We had over indulged the night before and was ready to head back to ship after dolphin excursion and shopping.
EXCELLENT! Because we were suite guests, we got to bypass this huge line of people and we were off the ship really quick. We were eating breakfast at 8:15 am, and at 9:15 we were in our car.
