Review summary

It was cheap. You get what you pay for, but our experience was so bad we will not go on Royal Caribbean again - not when there are so many other options that visit the same places.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The food in the main dining room was tasty and the servers incredible. The buffet area was chaotic and the quality wildly inconsistent. Most of it was greasy and either lacked seasoning or was so salty as to be inedible.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Pools did not open on time, especially on our unexpected sea day.

Ship Quality

Bathrooms in the common areas were the cleanest I have seen on a cruise ship. But the ship is showing its age, and even when clean, looks grungy,

Cabin / Stateroom

Super small. It was so small, You could not walk along one side of the bed, but had to get in and out by sliding off the end. Again, age is showing here. There was rust on the metal in the bathroom, and the tile was clean but looked grungy.

Ports of call

Nassau, Bahamas

4 out of 5
Nassau was nice and easy to disembark and embark again. We did a private food tour, which was amazing. However, an inability to communicate about the effects of bad weather on our next port of call meant that we missed opportunities to see a lot of the city.

Cococay (Cruise Line's Private Island) Did not visit port

We never got to go. The line decided that the weather was too dangerous for the tenders to take people in. It happens, but the way it was communicated to passengers was terrible. We had returned to our cabin in late afternoon from Nassau, planning to rest a bit as the next day was our beach day. We began hearing rumours that we were not going to Cococay. Then we were told by a steward that we would be staying at Nassau until 1 pm the next day. Cool! We decided to visit Junkanoo Beach the next morning. Than the captain announced we would receive a letter in the evening about the next stop. At 9:30, we got a letter slipped under our door that we were staying in Nassau until 5 am. Poor communication here.
