Well I have sailed R C three times several years ago and loved everything about! - this experience was not good - poor customer service - not friendly or helpful ( except main dining staff) not as clean as expected - and buffet really needs a face lift - their were No beautiful fruit designs - they always had those on the other ships and and no ice designs either - Luxury ship - is is not!
Embarkation
4 out of 5
Getting through all the check-in was easy - but once on ship No welcome greetings - music - drinks ect. we were left to just figure out which way was the lunch buffet
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
The food was O k; - I expected better - Buffet was always crowed and loud - I felt like I was in a cafeteria and not on a cruise
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
I did enjoy Trivia - it was 3to 4 times a day and fun! the activity directors were fun and enjoyed their positive energy! - The music outside by the pool was Way to load and could not even sit by the pool because of it - They always had something going on in the main area of the ship - that was entertaining
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Only 2 shows but they were good - The game shows were fun and entertaining
Children's Programs
5 out of 5
We had a 3yr. and 4 yr. old with us and they Loved the program - they went each day 2-5 o'clock each and loved it. They looked forward each day to going
Service and Staff
3 out of 5
The waiters in the Main dining were Excellent - very friendly and helpful - but we had a family party of 11 and had a table reserved ahead of time but they could never get us all on one table - that was frustrating! The room attendant was the worst! -He did 'nt make up my daughters room - no friendly service - no towel designs- well one night in my room - no friendly welcome greeting or departing welcomes -the worst was when we leaving the last day I guess we needed to out of the room by 8 am and he stood by the room and said - It's time for you to leave now!- matter of fact -I t was very rude! He should have givin us off a friendly farwell greeting - we were all surprised at the lack of professional room staff
Ship Quality
2 out of 5
the layout was fine - it is an older ship so I was nt expecting new and fancy thing and designs - The main dining was - nice -clean and nice tables and chairs -but was crowed - tables very close to each other - The rest of the ship -worn down - it needs a facelift - chairs in several lounges old worn and some dirty enough I would not sit in - The windows through out the ship were dirty and need the be cleaned - so bad you could not even see out of them - that was important to me because when I look out a window I want to see the beautiful beautiful view that we came to see!
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
the cabin was what I expected - it was fine - but again dirty window which made for a poor view out my window
Ship tip
I have sailed on R C years ago and it was an excellent experience !- not this one - disappointing!
On the last morning, we went back to our room to find it propped open with all our stuff still in it and no steward to be found. They don’t tell you that as of 7:30 am you have to be completely out. Published time was 8:30. But the contract I accepted covered this rude and reckless action as well ... I am sure.
