Review summary

Ship was very nice, but it is an older ship and didn't have some any of the items that you would find on new cruise ships (i.e. golf simulator, basketball court, and other items for kids).

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Dining room food was very good and the sevice was outstanding. However, the quality of food a Chops Steakhouse was poor.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Activities were catered to the older crowd, as they make up 80% of the people on the boat, and the staff didn't hide this fact. Would have also like to have seen the staff modify their activities based upon weather or a rain day when we are at sea.

Children's Programs

Service and Staff

Staff and service was outstanding.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Great room located on the back of the boat.

Ports of call

Saint John, New Brunswick

5 out of 5
Very nice town.
Don't Miss: Jet boat through the St. John's river is a must.

Halifax, Nova Scotia

5 out of 5
Great town surrounded by water in all locations. Downtown has everything to offer.
Don't Miss: Whale watching boat ride when during May/June time frame.

Boston, Massachusetts

5 out of 5
First trip, just wish we had more time in the port to enjoy (only 6 hours).
Don't Miss: Red Sox game if they are in town.

Bar Harbor, Maine

5 out of 5
Great little town with tremendous shopping and food.
Don't Miss: Rock climbing or any other item in the state park that makes up most of the island.

Portland, Maine

5 out of 5
Very nice location with super lobster specials.
Don't Miss: Would recommend driving down to Old Orchard Beach to get lobster at a third of the price than downtown Portland.

Pros: Service on board was outstanding

Cons: Activities on board were taylored to the older crowd.
