Review summary

This was our first cruise without our kids, and we found the ship to be perfect for our anniversay trip. The Ship is big enough to offer whatever we needed, but small enough not to overwhelm us. We enjoyed the option of the quieter more protected solarium pool area, as well as the fun of the main pool. The spa was first rate and the gym was never crowded. The main dining room was very elegant and felt that most tables had an ocean view.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Our 4th crusie and this was by far our best dining experience. The Dining room was elegant and the food was wonderful, but what made it the best was our waiter. he went out of his way to make sure that we had the perfect dining experience. From wine suggestions to entree and appetizers recomendations, he took his time to get to know us and to gage our tastes to make the perfecct suggestions each time.

Entertainment

We loved the family trio that played most nights in the main atrium, they were cute and very talented. The daughter had an amazing voice and the mother and father were amazing musicians playing over 5 instruments. The casino needs better air circulation. It was too smokky for me to stay in there very long. I did appreciate that they set up the conference room with a big screen TV so we could watch the world Series with 50 other fans.

Children's Programs

3 out of 5
We did not bring our kids but we looked at the facilities and they appeared very basic and this ship did not seem geared too manage alot of children or children older than 5.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Our waiter made the cruise for us. But, I had multiple bad experiences with the shore excursion staff. Overall the friendliness of the staff was not the best.

Ship Quality

Cabin / Stateroom

It seemed that our bathroom was a little old. From a mirror with black marks, pitted sink, old plastic toilet and a broken shampoo dispenser, the bathroom was not top rate. the room was great, with more storage space than I have ever experinced before.

Ports of call

Cozumel, Mexico

There are some great excursions on this island, but if the seas are rough many of them can be canceled which leaves you with shopping in a high pressure crowded city enviroment. The Diamond Inter. sttore was amazing however.

Key West, Florida

This would be a better stop later in the day and into the night. This town is designed for partying, and we got into town early and had to be back on the ship early.

Belize City, Belize

5 out of 5
We did not go into the city, bbut heard that it was not pretty. But our excurison to Sun Beach Resort was the best shore excurison that we have ever taken. It felt like we were in Tahiti. Beautiful sand beach with a large thatched roof main building and many small thatched roof shaded areas. But most importantly it was relaxing and not overcrowded. They did overcharge us for food or rentals. the Mangrove forests were amaizing to kyack thru. I would like to stay there a second day. We also heard that excursions into the jungle were fantastic.
Don't Miss: Sun Beach Resort

Pros: The spa staff and our waiter

Cons: The shore excursion staff were not very helpful
