Review summary

This cruise was one of the most relaxing we have done in a while. The ports of call were nice. Princess cruise food is only mediocre. Princess also had a glitch in their medallion app and we kept getting charged for things we should not have been charged for. We had to keep looking at our bill and getting it fixed. That was frustrating. Also, the shore excursions are very unorganized .no order and getting off the boat and ran late.

Embarkation

We had our Medallions so everything was easy

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Food was just ok; nothing great. Service was sometimes very slow. Orders were sometimes late and incorrect.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
The Hydro Pool was great. I have been in them before and they are relaxing after a day of walking. I enjoy the thermal room also.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Magician was just ok. We did not go go any shows other than that. The movies offered were out of date.

Children's Programs

We did not have any children with us.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Our cabin steward was exceptional. The room service was late and inconsistent. Some orders were incorrect and they did not make it right.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The ship was cut up a little bit too much for me. Hard to get around and know where you were. We never got the hang of where items might be in the Lido deck for eating. Two large dining halls and stuff spread out everywhere

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
One of the best rooms we have had on a cruise. A desk with outlets and good lighting for putting on makeup and doing hair. Bathroom was roomy enough. Bed was comfortable. The balcony was a little too small but private.

Ship tip

Princess did not great shore excursions and they booked up early and they did not open more spots. Book your excursions early and also look at other tour companies. Did you read this

Ports of call

Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island)

5 out of 5
It had a nice beach and we rented a cabana we got off the ship early so we had a very premium spot first row on the beach to the right where it was a little more secluded. They were very unorganized.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

We were on the beach until the waves got to be too high and then we had to move to a chair near the pool. It was very crowded and there was no one coming around waiting on you for drinks or food. It was not one of our better excursions. .

Tortola, British Virgin Islands

5 out of 5
We did not use Princess on this short excursion. We went to Jost Van Dyke. Our particular shore excursion avoided the rough seas that other excursions encountered and were canceled. Are excursion got to the beach early and it was very relaxing..

Pointe-A-Pitre, Guadeloupe

5 out of 5
We went to the botanical gardens and the beach. The botanical gardens was wonderful. My only complaint would be I would like to of had more time there. We went to the beach, but we could not go into the water because the surf with high. But it was a very relaxing beach. We did not have enough time there.

Fort-De-France, Martinique

4 out of 5
Princess did not supply shuttles into town, which was disappointing. We went into Martinique on our own. We found out on our own that we could take a ferry over to a beach. The beach was very nice. I wish princess when we talked to the shore, excursion desk would’ve told us about the ferry. All of the princess excursions we were interested in were already booked, and I believe they had to cancel some of them because of choppy water conditions..

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

We did an excursion that was a beach, break and lunch. The lunch was very good. The beach was nice.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Princess has the disembarkation very organized. We did have to change our disembarkation tags to leave the ship a little earlier because we were trying to get to the airport in plenty of time. It turns out United canceled our flight so we could have stayed on the ship a little longer. I wish there would have been a way to contact the front desk late at night and change my luggage tag, but our luggage was already gone
