Review summary

The train ride up the White Pass/Yukon had some of the most beautiful scenery I have ever seen. It was enjoyed by our whole group and a highlight of the trip. We could do as much as we wanted every day but for me just being lazy and enjoying the scenery was almost enough. Loved meeting people from all over the world. The Casino was fun even tho I did not hit any big jackpots. I actually left them more than I care to think about but that was my own fault! All in all, we could not have imagined this cruise to be any better and I look forward to another cruise at some point. Think we will stick with Princess as they are A#1!

Embarkation

So much help getting those in our group who needed a hand on the ship in record time.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food...Oh my gosh!! Used room service every morning for coffee and juice. The first two mornings out, our coffee was not as hot as we are used to but it was taken care of when I asked for hotter coffee and got it from then on. We ate at Horizon Court often, had the best onion rings, clam chowder, bratwurst, fries and potato wedges at the other walk up eateries. Late night visits to the ice cream shop was a must before bed.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
I so looked forward to relaxing in the hot tub with friends no matter what the weather was, just felt so good! My big, white, warm, cozy Princess bathrobe was a treat. Thank you!

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Took part voting on "The Voice", also enjoyed the magic show. He was really good and kept all of us entertained.

Children's Programs

We did not travel with children.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our group of 14 had a table ready each evening in Michelangelo, never waited a minute, and we were treated like royalty. I only had one issue with prime rib being a bit on the tuff side but all other dishes were out of this world. I tried to have one menu item every night that was new to me and was never let down in taste or quality of food. William was our steward and every time we left the room, he would slip in to tidy up, fresh towels and garbage emptied. Wish I could have taken him home with me! The beds were awesome. The whole ship was sparkling clean, impressed by so many crew members keeping it that way.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Where ever I would go on ship, I would see crew members cleaning, painting, sweeping, mopping etc. No wonder the ship was in tip top shape.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We had a discount for our ocean view obstructed . There was not an obstruction of any kind so what a deal! We were mid ship, quiet and gently rocked to sleep every night.

Ship tip

Don't over pack! I took way too many clothes. There are laundry facilities throughout the ship. I did a wash/dry load, did not have any wait time and found the laundry room spotless with iron/board and nice big sink for all to use.

So glad you like Princess. The Emerald and Alaska seemed to treat you nice even if the casino did not (darn casinos!!!). Stick with Princess and you should stay a happy cruiser (not responsible for any future casino visitations, and any loses that may accrue from those visits. Winnings only guaranteed on the second Tuesday of a week starting in a month beginning with the letters QWH).
