Review summary

The ship was beautiful and the destination was amazing. We were able to get up to the Tracey Arm in the fiords. They said we were the first cruise this season to do. Thank goodness for the ship and the destination as the staff did not seem to enjoy their work. The food was fair with the exception of the pizza and the Pub food.

Embarkation

Very friendly courteous staff.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The dining rooms were beautiful. The food did not match the dining room in looks or taste. The buffets were fair with some of the hot food being warm. Soups were very good. The Pub foods were also very good.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Went to talk on Alaska. The weather was cold for outside activities. Did not see anything that interested me.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The musicians were good as were the bar entertainment. The biggest complaint about the stage shows was the times and seating. Not enough seats for the number of people. We had to take our 5 year old granddaughter to a 10PM show. One had to be there 30 to 45 minutes ahead of time to get seats.

Children's Programs

3 out of 5
The grandchildren liked it when it was open. Times were erratic and the employees weren't very friendly.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Our dining room waiters were overwhelmed. The drink waiter was missing half the time waiting for drinks or something else. This left the main waiter to do everything else. By the time the condiments came around you had already eaten the food. Our room steward was good. The friendliest and courteous staff were in the Wheelhouse Pub. The Pub food was good as well as the entertainment. The people that work at the front desk hate their work and it shows!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Beautiful ship. Clean and well maintained.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The cabin was not clean when we arrived. There were crumbs and chocolate ice cream on the shelf. The tub was halfway full of water and there were hairs on the counter near the sink. The room was kept very clean during our stay. The room was comfortable.

Ship tip

If you are sailing with a group larger than 12 you will need to make an appointment to have a group picture taken.

No excursion but we came early. There is a lot to do in Seattle and the mass transit is amazing.

Victoria, British Columbia

The time we were there was not worth getting of the ship. We arrived at 7PM.

Disembarkation

We had to be out of our stateroom at 8AM. We had to wait over two hours for our group to get off ship. There was a line to get a table in the dining room. I can't imagine what the buffet was like!
