Review summary

From the moment we boarded the beautiful Emerald Princess on April 02, 2016 we were greeted by a friendly and enthusiastic staff.  We enjoyed our premium balcony cabin which allowed us to have a panoramic view of the ocean and ports.  Our room steward, Minguel, was always very friendly and provided excellent service.  Our dining experience at the Michelangelo Dining Room was wonderful.  The beautiful hostess Iryna  was like a ray of sunshine every time we entered the dining room.  The food was delicious and the waiters were very prompt and efficient.  All of the staff members we encountered on the ship were fantastic.  They went the extra mile to make sure we had a great vacation.

We also thoroughly enjoyed the port lectures by Ken Broadhurst and the enrichment lectures by Jerry Zarr.  The excursions were all very enjoyable and educational, and all that we were on ran smoothly.  All of the guides were excellent.

The shows, movies, and other on board entertainment that we participated in were also top quality.

Overall, it was a wonderful experience.

The view from our balcony was fantastic. Our cabin was very comfortable. The shower was small but adequate. Minguel, our room steward was superb and consistently provided excellent service. He made this cruise a real pleasure.

We booked this cruise primarily because we wanted to visit Ponta Delgada. We were very disappointed when they skipped the Azores because of the storm.

I was on the short cruise the other week and it was very poor. 2.30mims to have a 3 course meal and the main meal was served to me as a pie. No chips/or salad or anything just a chicken pie. We had a person on are table from princess cruises whom was not a happy person as they could see first hand how poor it was.and trying to get a drink from the bar could take 20+ mins.

I fully agree with you, some people can't be pleased with any service they get and look for any little fault,Emerald Princess will be our 14th cruise in 3 years and we haven't had any complaints on all of the ships, we had one issue on disembarkation on one of the ships but got over it, take a look at our cruise history.

On the emerald now and it's spot on ... anyone that complains about any issues on here are the people that complain about anything. ..

We must of been on a different ship.... our experience was not the same. Staff very unfriendly and everyone complained about it.
