Review summary

Beautiful ship that was well maintaiined. Even though it was new (we were on Christening cruise), there was continuous revarnishing, painting and touch up to keep it looking new.

Ports of call

Livorno (Florence & Pisa), Italy

3 out of 5
We ttook the day tour to Florence, where museums were closed (it was Monday), but still had a nice walk through city and San Marco cathedral; the trip to Pisa allowed only 20 minutes to visit tower and adjacent church, which was insufficient time; tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable, however.
Don't Miss: On any day but Monday, arrange tour of Effuzi and/or Accademie in Florence

Piraeus (Athens), Greece

5 out of 5
Best tour of cruise; saw all major site, with ample time at Acropolis, very nice Greek dinner, and time in Plaka for shopping and wandering, with trip to National Museum following.
Don't Miss: Acropolis

Don't Miss: Acropolis

Santorini, Greece

5 out of 5
Trip to top is an adventure in itself, especially if you take the donkeys.
Don't Miss: Donkey ride up; do not advise donkey ride down; take the cable car

Corfu, Greece

3 out of 5
Enjoyed walk into city. Nothing that stood out.

Kusadasi (Ephesus), Turkey

5 out of 5
Efasus was one of best archaelogical sites on entire cruise. Bazaar at port was disappointing, due to overly aggressive shop owners who refused to allow you to enjoy the market and various wares.
Don't Miss: Efasus

Monte Carlo, Monaco

The walk to top of hill to Maritime Museum was worthwhile, as was the "Tonka Toy" train ride, which gave quick, overall tour of city, Casino, hotels, parks and downtown sites.

Venice, Italy

5 out of 5
Venice lives up to its billing in terms of beauty; outrageously expensive, but was a lot of fun
Don't Miss: Rip off gondola ride; you have to do this no matter how bad it hurts

Mykonos, Greece

5 out of 5
Nice walk around town and to Little Venice; enjoyed the island; planned to take ferry to Delos for archaelogical tour, but missed it;

Naples, Italy

5 out of 5
Tour to Pompeii was fabulous. We heard from guests that tour to Capri was worthwhile.
Don't Miss: Pompeii

Pros: Food, service, ports

Cons: Poor internet access, too many extra charges for items that should be included, such as water when leaving boat in hot climate
