Great cruise for the price tag by StaceyK1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Disney Wonder / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

The customer service was excellent. Everyone was soooo friendly. There was things to do all day and night, for grown ups and kids. If you go I recommend that you use the navigator and go over it carefully because you don't want to miss anything. My daughter even loved the child care centers, you can drop the kids off and have some time along.

First cruise was on the... by AndrewDL

Sail date: /
Ship: Disney Wonder

First cruise was on the Wonder. Expected Disneyland at sea - but got an elegant ship, well organized, plenty for the kids (naturally) but also plenty for the grown-ups. Great food, great entertainment and spotlessly clean.

Great for teens by ShirleyV3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Disney Wonder / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

We were worried that our teens age 17,15,13 would think the Disney Cruise was too young for them, but we wanted them to be safe and we trusted Disney. What a wonderful time they had!! The teen club was amazing and they loved the teen beach in Cast a way Key!!Our nine year old had fun too, but the teens were the ones that loved every minute!!

Good cruise for the kids! by Jorge1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Disney Wonder / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

We have been on over 10 cruises. This was our first disney cruise after comparing, we feel that if it wasn't for the disney characters and shows it would be a very average cruise and since my daughter loves the characters so much I guess I would endure it again. The food was horrible and the service very slow.I must say the ship was impeccable as well as our stateroom, the crew was very nice and helpful. We were very disappointed in our tour to atlantis resort. We were not allowed to be taken to the resort itself we were left to walk about one mile to and from the bus.We were allowed to use the pools, the slides and visit the aquariums and a snack for the outrageous sum of $155 per adult and $105 per child. We felt ripped off, that tour was worth $50 at the most.

Disney Wonder by SharonH29

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Disney Wonder / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Ship is beautiful and very clean. Food service at sit down service needs improvement. Food always arrived cold ,however servers always aimed to pleased and rectified problem.Food at Palo's was exquisite. I don't understand if food was so great at Palo's (you must pay a $10.00 per person fee) why was it always cold at the other three dining rooms? Staff always very friendly and polite. They want you to have a "magical time". Disney's shows were marvelous. The spa is beautiful. You must pay $15 per person for an all day pass to the rain forest room with sauna's, you won't be disappointed. If you can afford the balcony stateroom I suggest you do so. I booked a category 12 GTY hoping for an upgrade when I arrived at port. It didn't happen and I was so disappointed with the room.Very, very small, with no room for luggage. It was was just my daughter and I in the room and we were banging into one another. I was able to get an upgrade with guest services the night of sailing. They originally offered me a balcony for an extra $637.00, however, I asked if they would accept $500.00 and they did! My daughter won the bingo jackpot the last day of the cruise, so that paid for our upgrad. How lucky for us!

Disney Cruises The Best Vacation by MrsM1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Disney Wonder / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

It's a good place for young and old. I relaxed and enjoy the atmosphere. This is better than any vacation on earth. I recommend that every family sacrifice and send their children on this cruise to experience what Disney is all about. I will be onboard July 19-22, 2007 and August 2007, my children and I just cant get enough of the Disney Cruiselines.

You get your money's worth! by AliciaH2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Disney Wonder / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Disney may be one of the expensive cruiselines, but you get your money's worth. The service was topnotch and the personnel was very friendly. Disney goes all out for their customers. The shows were better then some Broadway shows that I have seen. The food was excellent. The only bad thing was that the menus are geared for children. They have a children's menu, but it never changes. My teenage son had a ball at the teen club. He was there every night and got to bed way after I had gone to sleep. The bed was a little uncomfortable, but not a bad sleep.

Repeat cruisers! by BonnieW3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Disney Wonder / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Incredibly beautiful immaculate vessel. Disney is so particular with this mammoth ship that they have their employees scrubbing with toothbrush size cleaners to get every nook and cranny clean. The entire experience serves as an absolute bonding and learning experience for families. No stress, high service! The most major decision to make while onboard is which gorgeous hallway to take to the next fantastic gourmet meal! The kids' clubs and super tight security for them provides such a relaxing experience for parents. There is no worry...beepers, security passwords, tight supervision....just the thing to enable parents, grandparents, etc., to sit back and enjoy the luxury.

The BEST cruise - period! by SherriS1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Disney Wonder / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Disney did it again! They have everything timed so perfectly that you never had to wait for anything. The rotating dining plan was fun. The food was great. The smooth ride was unbelievable. The ship was in tip-top shape. Everyone in our group from 8 - 42 years had an absolute blast! We were so bummed for it to end.

This was our 2nd Disney Cruise this year, and have another planned in January for 7nights. Have been on Royal Caribbean and Carnival, and Disney beats them HANDS DOWN!! Embarkation and disembarking were hassle free. Everything was very, very clean--I'm a germophobe!

Good Cruise by WessleyC

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Disney Wonder / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

This was our fist cruise with our kids as well as other family members with kids. The ship was great for the kids with all of the activities there was to offer them.I could not believe that there would be so much to do through midnight for my 9 year old son. Our oldest was with the teenagers and we seen him for dinner each night but he stayed busy the rest of the time through 2 am. The only disappointment that we had was our cruise run into a Bahamian national labor day on the 1st of June. all of the shops were closed and the shore excursions were limited. Our group would have liked to have been informed of this when we made our reservations so we could have picked a different sail date. Our second stop in Castaway Cay was washed out due to severe weather so we could not dock and enjoy what they had to offer on that island either. Disney did add extra shows and movie times due to the weather but that did not make up for missing the two ports of call. I would go again but definatley ask about any national holidays that might keep you from enjoying what you are paying for.

This was our first cruise... by cscapes

Sail date: /
Ship: Disney Wonder

This was our first cruise ever, back in 2007 and in my opinion the best cruise line to experience fun at sea! It certainly set the bar high for all non Disney cruises I’ve taken since, but I love cruising so much I overlook the absence of Mickey while I’m cruising with Carnival...lol

First time cruiser was not disappointed by BambiG

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Disney Wonder / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

This was our first cruise and we were not disappointed. We absolutley loved the fact that we were introduced over the intercom and the entire crew applauded as we boarded. Disney goes way beyond in the service department!! We were concerned about the "dress up" night. We were on vacation and did not want to really "dress up" as we do every Monday - Friday. We planned on skipping that meal, and eating on deck 9, but when we told our wait staff they just about pleaded with us to come. They said come as you like, this is your cruise. We will NEVER say no. I love that about Disney. The crew made this cruise wonderful. Things we didn't budget for were the photo's. They take the most AMAZING photo's and display them in Shutter's. We spent about $275 on them. They are worth every dime!!!!! I would definately do this cruise again, only hopefuly it will be a longer cruise than this one. We did 3 days on land and 4 days at sea. I would recommend doing the land portion first as we did. There is so much to do in 3 days!! We picked out 2-3 things to see or do in every park and then moved on the next thing. By the time we got on the boat, we were very tired. Then they started the Sail Away Celebration and we woke right up! Loved every minute on the ship! Had a pedicure in the spa on our last day at sea -and never felt so spoiled! Perfect, perfect, perfect! Love you Walt for making such a place!

The service was impeccable, the food was delicious. The ship was beautiful inside and out. Our stateroom was beautiful and the staff was friendly.

A GREAT vacation for Children and Adults by JacquelineC4

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Disney Wonder / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

The Ship is beautiful, the staterooms were relatively spacious and the service was terrific. We cruised two years ago on the Disney Wonder. On April 30, 2007 we went on our 2nd 4-night Cruise on The Disney Wonder, which recently came out of dry dock. The renovations involved some nice changes to the ship. The gym size was doubled and new, state of the art equipment was added. The Vista Spa also receive some updates including new "Spa Suites" that adults can rent for the day. For the family, the Goofy Pool received a new "Jumbotron TV screen" on which one can watch cartoons while lounging in the pool. The snack bar by the Mickey Mouse pool now offers new, healthier food alternatives for lunch. For the adults, we highly recommend the Vista Spa! So many great offerings at similar rates as to what you would find on dry land. note - they often run specials and different services than what you can find on-line. so booking a spa experience can easily be done on the ship ( a good time to do this would be shortly after you board). You will find a great staff eager to tell you about what they have on offer and often willing to take you on a tour of the state of the art facility. One other note, we arrived at the port around 11:30 and by the time we dropped off luggage, went through security, hit the potties and then checked in, it was about 12:20p.m. We boarded the ship around 12:45 and ate lunch right away ( our kids are always hungry). Our staterooms were ready at 1:30 pm on the dot! The great thing is that not everyone had boarded so the kids pool was not too crowded and we could roam about and discover all of the new changes. Overall, our expecations were not only met, they were surpassed!
