This was my first Disney... by NYThunder

Sail date: /
Ship: Disney Magic

This was my first Disney cruise and it did not disappoint. The Magic is an older smaller ship, however it is still in good shape. The cabin was a nice size as was the balcony. The service, especially the MDR staff was simply AMAZING. I would not hesitate to sail on this ship again.

Wonderful, Magical Canadian 🛳 cruise. by Kim0315

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Disney Magic / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

It was a wonderful experience. My niece had a smile on her face from the moment she woke up until the moment her sleepy head hit her pillow at night. We will definitely be going again.

I would definitely sail on... by maybaby31

Ship: Disney Magic

I would definitely sail on another Canada cruise. I wasn’t disappointed and this was my first cruise in general. In the future I would want to on another Canada cruise because we weren’t disappointed.

Canada Redux by bmetcalf

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Disney Magic / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

Having just complete the same cruise in reverse the week before, you'd think this would have been anticlimactic, but not so. This gave us a chance to take a second shore excursion in ports, and the on-board program did change a bit. It was also easier (and cheaper) to take the cruise back to New York than it would have been to rent a car for international drop-off. (We hate to fly.)

Great new experience by pdbilodeau

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Disney Magic / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

Loved the overall cruise. Very few people on the ship made it less crowed. Was not excited with the adult activities. Too much trivia and not much interesting things to do.

Better and closer than France. by bmetcalf

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Disney Magic / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

This was the first visit of both us and the ship to the three Quebec ports. Inaugural cruises often have many small glitches, but the only one we found was the lack of handicap accessibility in the ports (better than Europe, but not even as good as the Caribbean where all rebuilding seems to be accessible). English was available everywhere, with apologies from those whose English wasn't very good, but it was never a problem, never an attitude. We enjoyed the trip so much we stayed aboard for a return trip the following week, and would gladly recommend it. Dress warm though, it was in the 40s some mornings.

Disney never disappoints! It was one of the best cruises I have ever done. Since It was the inaugural cruise for the Disney Magic we were greeted at each port with a huge welcome from the local people and that made our visit extra special. by krystalpate

This cruise was something different for us. We had cooler temperatures and got to see a few places in Canada. I loved thst we only had 2 sea days and had more port days. It was an excellent experience and I would do It again.

Disneys Halloween on the High Seas by Lvflyguy1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Disney Magic / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

There is a reason Disney is rated number one in the cruise industry. From the moment we checked in we were spoiled by the DCL staff. Food was excellent and there were so many things to do and see daily onboard the ship. Loved the rotation of the dining venues at dinner and our experience at Palo, the only specialty restaurant on the Disney Magic. This was a Halloween on the High Seas themed cruise so throughout the whole cruise we got to enjoy lots of fun little extras like costume contest, story telling, and trick or treating. I’ve been on over 10 cruises and nobody even compares to the experience you get with Disney!

Great itinerary to get a taste of these ports. Easy to spend time in London pre cruise. Highly recommended. Plus. There is no service like Disney service.

Fantastic Disney Cruise by moorcrofthouse

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Disney Magic / Destination: Europe - Northern Europe

Disney is not just for kids. We’ve been through the various kids clubs and this cruise was 4 adults albeit 2 in their early twenties and they thoroughly enjoyed it. It is very difficult to find fault with the way Disney operates whether it is a cruise or a resort. Staff know their jobs and are both efficient and very friendly. Entertainment is always first rate. The only reason that we’ve rated the ports at four is that we were unable to book suitable shore excursions. We will definitely be taking another cruise with them.

Not any fun aboard Form toddlers by Sebastian78

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Disney Magic / Destination: Europe - Northern Europe

If you are traveling with toddlers it isn't worth the money. If the kids are let's say 4 upward it's really fun. The ship and the staff is perfect. Food is also very good.

Overall great experience, the boat... by tessmeuldy10

Sail date: /
Ship: Disney Magic

Overall great experience, the boat wasn’t too crowded although the pool area was very hard to get a spot at. There was so much to do all the time on this ship and there were constant character meet and greets. Not great for older kids, unless fans of Disney. The entertainment was the best of any ship I’ve been on and every night there was a great show to watch. The cinema was also great as i got to watch many movies that had just come out in cinema or were being released during the time of the cruise. The dining was fantastic, the dining rooms and performances bring a great atmosphere to every meal, although the menu is a bit hard for fussy eaters. This ship is just what you’d expect from a Disney cruise line. Would definitely cruise with Disney again.

Busy Mediterranean Cruise by sphrguy48

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Disney Magic / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

On this cruise, we had 6 in our party; daughter and husband, and two grandchildren. Everyone had a great time and enjoyed the ports of call. We came early to Barcelona and stayed an additional evening in Barcelona after disembarkation. Barcelona is a beautiful place and we were glad that we spend additional time there. These ports of call will keep you very busy and most of your day will be off the ship. So if you have high energy level for sightseeing -- you will like this cruise.

Outstanding by ijg

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Disney Magic / Destination: Transatlantic

Outstanding experience. Yes, the Disney cruise costs a bit more, but you really do get 2 vacations for the price of 1. The kids get one, and the adults get one, and everyone comes back refreshed.

We just returned from an... by interstatedj

Sail date: /
Ship: Disney Magic

We just returned from an absolute AMAZING Bahama cruise on the Magic. Disney did not disappoint and met and even exceeded our expectations. It was our first Disney Cruise but definitely not our last. Dining rooms, food, and servers were absolutely top notch. The production shows were so entertaining. Our two boys loved the aqua dunk. We stayed on the ship while at Nassau and the boys never had to wait in a line. Castaway Cay was an amazing private island. I want to live there. The only distraction was having our rooms very back (aft) on deck 2. Every morning during docking in ports, you could hear the thrusters engage for what seemed 30 minutes or more. We never needed an alarm clock because of this. Earplugs muffled it a little but I would recommend booking midship or higher deck.
