Review summary

This was a GREAT CRUISE. First rate food and entertainment. Very clean cabin and ship. Very qualified staff and service. HIGHLY recommend. Small discrepencies noted in comments.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
More info is needed in the process. The only info we received was that we got to use the Green Line. Well that was woefully inadequate. There was a lot more info that we could have used to make the process easier, such as dropping off bags and describing the entire process prior to using the Green Line.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The food everywhere was tremendous. Imo the main dining rooms were as good as the specialty restaurants. The buffets were very good with a wide variety of cuisine from different ethnic areas.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Fitness center was so-so. Small and crowded. Pools were mostly OBE due to the weather (Cold and wet).

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Loved the live shows. The Rock Opera was first rate entertainment that I would pay for irl. Watch the YouTube video. The other shows were great as well. We watched one every night. I also watched a lot of live music every night. Shows were in 45 minute clips. There were a couple that I considered poor and had technical issues. There were a couple that just weren't my cup of tea. But acoustic guitar and piano was very good. My only suggestion is to branch out into post baby boomer music. They leaned heavily on the Billy Joel/Elton John type. And I'm a boomer.

Children's Programs

Empty nesters no children or grandchildren with us.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Very attentive. Sometimes difficult to use the medallion to get service and lines at the bar.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Loved the layout with a central area for most entertainment. Very clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Awesome room. Great design with lots of storage for clothes. The shower was very nice. Only complaint was neighbors constantly smoking pot and making the balcony experience less than nice.

Ship tip

Prepare for wet, cool, overcast weather. Dress in layers and bring waterproof clothing for shore excursions. We rarely if ever saw a port where it wasn't raining.

I think we did water taxis at this port. I thought it would be a problem, but it went off without a hitch. Well done.

Victoria, British Columbia Did not visit port

Only here a couple of hours late at night.

Disembarkation

I was really surprised at how easy this was. We were off the ship and in our Uber within 15 minutes. The hell that awaited us after that with Delta Air Lines is a different story.

Glad you had a great cruise! Can you give anymore details on the Embarkation? I'm cruising in just a couple of weeks for the first time and will also be using the Green Line, but haven't found any other info. Anymore details would be very helpful. Thank you!
