One thing we enjoyed was the big screen TV out at the pool area. we had nice warm weather on our cruise, so they showed movies most of the day, and into the night if you wanted to watch. It was fun. We did get to watch the Super Bowl all day on that screen, and it was great. They made popcorn, and appetizers for us so it was fun.

We were extremely pleased with taking Diamond Princess during the Spring Flowers cruise. We were able to see the cherry blossoms in all of the ports.

Book the Port side. The Starboard side received much of the water into the cabin from what I learned. Upgrade to the Club Class. Well worth it. The not waiting for a table daily made the difference.

Unlike some of the ships in this class, they don't have the small pastry / specialty hot drinks area in the atrium, but they do have a sushi restaurant.

Don't go on a Princess Ship.....very medicore compared to other lines. 2nd bad experience.
Wyrm
Don't bother, look for a similar itinerary on a different cruise line.

If you haven’t sailed on the Diamond before it takes a bit to get used to but halfway through the cruise I loved it.

Don't bring too much clothing

Pack a book or a deck of cards as the daily activities are not great.

Our cruise only had two sea days out of eight in total - very tiring so opt for a cruise with a chance to rest a bit. Diamond princess is definitely a fine (sunny) weather ship.
rtsang88
try to book the cruise early and get an earlier dinner time
cruisekingdom
do not expect too much
