Review summary

Had a great cruise and a wonderful time in Sydney, disappointed that we missed Akaroa as we had reserved an excursion for the alpine train ride, and Melbourne.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
timed it right... no lines or waiting.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Very good, the standard Princess layout.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Heated Jacuzzi in the aft of ship rarely used especially in the evenings.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Everly Brothers tribute band was pretty good, other entertainment just OK.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Outstanding service from Hector our room steward.

Ship Quality

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Only complaint was that the air conditioning output was minimal, so for the few warm nights we had to keep our balcony door open to keep the room cool enough to sleep. Also had the maintenance guy come out twice, but he failed to resolve the issue. I think cabin A701 might be at the end of the air conditioning conduit line, so when everyone else has their air set to max cold, there is no flow left for this cabin.

Ship tip

Unlike some of the ships in this class, they don't have the small pastry / specialty hot drinks area in the atrium, but they do have a sushi restaurant.
