A mistake was made on my pickup time at the airport and there was no one to meet and transfer me to my overnight hotel. After calling Luxury and being told to go thru customs ( I had just arrived from Houston, Texas to Fort Lauderdale, Florida???) I continued to hold on the phone for One hour until I was finally told to get a taxi to the hotel! I was able to step outside and immediately get the taxi. After a short 10 minute ride I arrived at the beautiful Embassy Suites and waiting outside for me was Mr. Dieter Schneider from Crystal Cruises. He immediately took over and took care of everything. He took care of my luggage and paying for the taxi! He also expedited my room check in and arranged to pay for my evening meal. I was allowed to check into my room much earlier (12 noon) than usual. I was so greatful Mr Schneider because by that time I was exhausted!

Food and Dining

Main dining room was very nice although we had different table mates every night it was enjoyable to meet different people on the cruise. Even had a chance to sit with all of the evening lecturers and one of the dance ambassadors. I would have thought I would not enjoy that but I very much did!
Onboard Activities

The ventriloquist was the best I have ever seen. I do not see well from a distance and my friends always wanted to sit in the back so I brought the binoculars that were supplied in the room with me!! It was perfect. I could not even see his lips move and his jokes were hilarious! I also enjoyed the DNA expert and liked being able to review it again on the tv in the room. The pickpocket expert was very impressive and I went to both of his appearances. Took several computer courses. Wish there had been better movies on although I did enjoy the one about the tulips. Had one session with the acupuncture’s and had good results. May try to find a doctor close to my home.
Entertainment

The few stage shows that I saw were very good. Unlike everyone else in the world I do not enjoy music and dancing so I would find other entertainment. Wish there had been more comedians and was fascinated by the magician. Great idea to have small groups seeing him.
Service and Staff

Everyone was wonderful. Was disappointed with the service at Prego’s. I thought the waiters were very condescending to our party. We were three woman and the waiter actually told us he knew what we should order better than what we did! I went alone twice to have sushi. Once to the bar and once to the restaurant. In both cases I was treated like a Queen and it did not matter that I was alone. Wonderful food and service!
Ship Quality

I was very impressed with the layout of all the floors. I hated the raised floor into the bathroom and fell in and really bruised both arms badly once. Seems like there could be a better idea!
Cabin / Stateroom

Loved my room except for the raised floor into the bathroom that I mentioned before. Really bruised my arms when I fell in. I especially liked that the bathroom door did not sway back and forth with the ship like all of the other ships I have been on. I was in a room by myself and I loved it!!💕
Ship tip
Be prepared to be pampered and everyone, crew and other passengers are very friendly!
Was brought straight from the hotel to the ship and straight on board! Never waited in any line. Did have to wait several hours to get in my room but I guess this is to be expected.
Loved this port. Lots to look at and walked for four hours! Was alone and no one bothered me. Bought several things. Very interesting. Would like to go back!
Took morning city sightseeing excursion. Interesting city. Would like to come back and spend a few days. Tried to go on the evening ghost tour. Too cold and I brought no warm clothes. Did not realize we would be only walking and no bus so started out but had to walk back when I realized it was strictly walking in the cold. Also guide told us after we were on the way that we would be going to a bar to start and then after the tour we would return to the bar. Although I don’t mind being in bars I do not drink so decided to walk back to the ship. I wish there had been more explanations about this excursion.
