This was a cruise needed of all the cruises we have been on. Lots of stuff going on in our lives it was also especially nice to have a 2 week vacation with my parents. Totally recommend this cruise/ itinerary if you like sea days and want to go to Alaska.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
While the line looks long, it went fast for us. Thank goodness the weather cooperated, no rain and was not too hot or cold. I would suggest they expand on their building or more money into it for how many cruises go in and out of there. For everyone's comfortability.

Dining Room

We ate at the Da Vinci room. It was gorgeous, first time from our few cruises. We also had the reserved collection. The pasta made by our manager was amazing and made us come back the next day to see what he had. The only thing we were disappointed by but didn't ruin our vacation is that we were not informed that Suites had an exclusive lunch every sea day.
24 - Hour Room Service

Highly suggest room service, especially on the morning of the Scenic Cruising. This is so nice and relaxing.
Coffee & Cones

Enjoyed a premium ice cream dessert, yum! Could not do the unlimited number a day (I had 1 so far I'll maybe have a total of 2 by the end of the cruise). I have really enjoyed the yummy gourmet coffee with the Princess Premier package.
Onboard Activities

The comedy shows, trivia, and crew vs. guests among others were hilaious!!
Entertainment
5 out of 5
There are so many activities, and I don't see how anyone could be "bored." Even if you decide to stay in your room, you can't be that bored because you decided that.
Service and Staff

Everyone was amazing, very friendly. The name of our steward is Chemika. He was awesome and very thorough.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Yes, it's an older ship. It's going to have an older design, creaks, and rust, but this ship is very clean and maintained to the best of their ability.
Cabin / Stateroom

We had St. Thomas Suite D736. It was awesome. There is rocking (if the seas were a little rough) for anyone who doesn't like it) We love the aft balcony for the view of the wake.
Ship tip
Be flexible. Ports can change. Things happen, but you're on vacation, it's all okay!!
We did the sky glider and trail tram. After those, we worked our way to Hoonah. We stopped at an ocean side restaurant, which was beautiful! As much as I want to support the locals, our meal consists of a burger and fries, fish sandwich (I think it was Halibut), and fries. And 2 diets coke. It was over $65 + tip!! A little too much, I thought, but after hearing a pound of hamburger is $18. I now know why.
While in Hoonah we went to a veteran owed shop, they were very friendly with lots of stories. We also went to a pub, there we found the limit per person was 36 Oz. They give a card marking how many you have had. One pint, 12 Oz. We had 2 more points, lol!
Did the Red Onion "breakfast" and Skagway tour. This was fun, BUT it a little disappointing since we thought it was a breakfast and booked that way. Both of us swear it changed to drinks and pastries after the fact. Like I said, it was still a lot of fun, I would recommend it. We were just not prepared as we had another excursion booked.
Next, we did the mushers camp, sled dog!! We got to hold puppies and get pulled around by the adult huskies. They are super fast.
We did the duck tour and lumberjack show. Both were so fun! I would definitely recommend these excursions. Another beautiful day. Alaska treated us well this time.
We took a train tour to see bears. It's not their fault we didn't see bears. We understand nature. It was disappointing that there was no narrative on the train, and this could be that it used a commuter train as well. We did take a private bus back to Prince Rupert, where I thought there would have been more narrative. Nope, we watched a money. It was a good movie so I can't complain much. I feel as a newish port they really missed the opportunity to tell us about them, about the island and so on.
Our Itinerary changed to Endicott Arm and Dawes Glacier. It was originally this, so we were excited that it changed back. There is nothing better than a scenic cruise. Suggestion: If you are on a balcony order room service, then enjoy your breakfast on your balcony.
