Review summary

Thoroughly enjoyed my first cruise and Alaska was the perfect place. Princess line fit our needs completely, so would cruise with them again. Also, enjoyed my Marriott additional benefits on this booking.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
A ton of walking through Canada Place to finally get to the ship.

Great food selection and dining experience

We enjoyed the classes and trivia- some of the trivia is for older generations through.

Shows were great-PG rated, so nice to have quality entertainment without foul language.

Had a great group of stewards.

Ship Quality

Always people attending the ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

Perfect for our first cruise. Super nice and large balcony which made viewing even better.

Ship tip

Get a balcony, enjoyed our Deck 10 location.

Ports of call

Vancouver (Canada Place), British Columbia

Basically just embarked without spending much time there. Took the airport shuttle to make transfer easy.

Juneau, Alaska

Rode the Gondola and walked around town a bit. Did not take any expensive excursions

Skagway, Alaska

4 out of 5
Train was the highlight. Town was very expensive and just a classic tourist place.

Sitka, Alaska

5 out of 5
We rented bicycles and enjoyed cruising around at out leisure to the Totem poles, saw several eagles.

Icy Strait Point (Hoonah), Alaska

5 out of 5
Rode the gondola again, a bit expensive. Took the five dollar shuttle into Hoonah and went on a whale watching trip with Glacial Winds- which were excellent.

Cruise Hubbard Glacier

5 out of 5
Loved the ability to sit on the balcony and just take in the views.

Ketchikan, Alaska

5 out of 5
Saw a few bears, eagles and the town is super friendly to get around. Joined a local tour place on a trolley for fun. The best place to buy T-shirts compared to other locations.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We just walked off the ship with our luggage, so no waiting.

Thanks for your review. We are headed back to Alaska in less than 2 weeks. Hoping to see those bears and salmon.
