Review summary

Princess does their best to provide 5 star service. My only problem was with the internet, partly due to Hotmail trying to text me a code while I am at sea...so I could get on the internet but not Hotmail. Gmail worked fine. Facebook worked too. You know the Internet service is slow when even the comedian puts it into his act for laughs. Granted, we were at sea for over a week so we had to rely on Satellites from sea... a bit tedious. However, everything else was pleasant and well organized.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
I was late due to train travel. Called Princess to let them know I was on the way. Literally arrived in the last moment. Since I had already provided all info online, customer service was waiting for me and whisked me through embarkation! Have traveled with Princess before. I must say they handled it all very smoothly. Quite impressed. Glad I made it just in the nick of time!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
What a question! Fabulous!!!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Great Fitness center...as if one doesn't get enough exercise just walking around the ship. Great shows, comedians, performers, games, etc.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Excellent presentations.

Children's Programs

No children with me.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All staff was great and courteous. I was on a transatlantic crossing and every expectation was met.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship has been renovated and refurbished. Please tell me if you can tell, because they did a great job! Beautiful common/entertainment areas beautifully designed and decorated.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Deck 10, Cabin 728 was all I needed. I go on cruises to enjoy the social areas and activities. For an inside cabin, it was ample if your expectations are not grandiose. Small bath but all I needed and daily service was perfect. Having been in the hospitality business, I see things in a different light. No, this is not the newest ship but the maintenance is excellent.

Ship tip

Be ready to walk a lot....but that will help burn off some of the wonderfully delicious meals they serve!!!!!

Ports of call

Le Havre (Paris), France

3 out of 5
Can't comment because I was glad I made it in time for sailing!!!

Southampton (London), England

5 out of 5
When the crew tell you that you can walk to the train station, take a cab instead. I walked about 2 miles to the train station to get in to London (2 hour ride) each way. Took a cab back to ship on return. Make sure your cab accepts the currency you have.

Zeebrugge (Bruges), Belgium

5 out of 5
This truly is one of the most beautiful areas in the world. Make sure to visit Brugges at all cost. Ghent was also beautiful. Time stood still here for us to marvel and picque our imaginations as what life was like centuries ago. This area was untouched by the many wars of the past, so you can see buildings dating to the 1600's and some older. Must see!

Portland (Weymouth), England, UK Did not visit port

Bad weather, stormy seas

Le Verdon-Sur-Mer (Bordeaux), France

5 out of 5
Make sure you book tours in advance. I visited Soulac which is a quaint little town on the ocean. Need to take a shuttle to get there. All tours were sold out.

Bilbao, Spain

5 out of 5
The Guggenheim Museum is here. The city is beautiful and picturesque.

Lisbon, Portugal

5 out of 5
Did not see too much of Lisbon, as I chose to visit Fatima. The ride by bus was about an hour and a half and I enjoyed visiting the shrine.

Ponta Delgada, Azores

5 out of 5
Actually saw this port a year earlier. In 2019, I lucked out with Hurricane Lorenzo and missed Ponta Delgada, much to my chagrin. Even if the ship would have been able to dock, the weather would not have allowed for any tours to take place. The Captain made the right call with level headed thinking to continue at sea. People may have been disappointed but they certainly stayed safe thanks to the Captain!!

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

5 out of 5
Hey, I live here. Visit Las Olas shops and restaurants. Come see the beautiful beach walk. Take a water taxi and cruise the canals to see the Venice of the Americas! We love visitors!

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Really, all ran smoothly while disembarking thousands of people and all of their luggage from a 17 day cruise.
