Most Enjoyable Cruise in Years

Sail Date: May 28, 2016

The Crown Princess amenities were only surpassed by RCCL's Voyager of the Seas.  Our Alaska itinerary was the trip of a lifetime, and the ship's crew made everything just that much more.  Due to all of the early morning excursions, we only took time to enjoy one of the evening shows.  We found so many wonderful choices for our dining pleasure, that we made less use of the superb dining rooms than our normal habits on other ships.  We only had one bad experience and that was caused by a few ship guests failing to meet with Canadian customs soon enough to allow passengers to depart on time to see Bucharest Gardens on Victoria.  Accordingly, we were unable to make that tour which was going to be the highlight of our cruise.

Cabin / Stateroom
The large window with unobstructed view was great, and our cabin steward bent over backwards to meet our every need.
Embarkation and Disembarkation
Initial and embarkation and final disembarkation was much better than average, and we especially appreciated the no-hastle bag check upon returning to Seattle. The trouble caused by passengers not reporting to Canadian Customs at the port of Victoria was only low point of vacation.
Ship Quality
The only Promenade that encircled full ship which was very important with so much to see.
Destinations and Excursions
All excursions were top notch and delivering all that was promised.
Onboard Activities
Ample variety, but our time onboard was mostly spent dining and sleeping.
Children's Programs
Must have been good since we were able to enjoy the desired relaxation undisturbed by overly active children.
Great variety whether you wanted a lengthy production or excellent live music in the atrium.
Service and Staff
The crew went overboard to make us feel like family while still being pampered.
Food and Dining
Seattle, Washington
Juneau, Alaska
Skagway, Alaska
Cruise Glacier Bay
Ketchikan, Alaska
Victoria, British Columbia
Didn't get to see due to passengers failing to cooperate with customs agents.
