Review summary

We have cruised with princess for quite a few years as well as it's sister carnival. Princess has dropped from a first to a second class experience. Seem like I was living an infomercial.

Onboard activities included sewing, crocheting, karaoke, line dancing, shopping classes, misc seminars, etc

Movies under the stars included a half cup popcorn of you are lucky, and forget about the traditional cookies.

Housekeeper was the worst we had at sea. Went a day without cleaning the room but it was freshened before bedtime.

Dinner tasted great but took about an hour and a half for service to be completed, and breakfast left a lot to be desired. The cruise directors were little boring and pretentious. Even me being a fan of the princess cruise lines I will have to cruise with another line next year.

Maybe I had a bad housekeeper but the cabin amenities were great and spacious. Request a mattress pad once you get on ship.

You'll find all cruise lines have gone down . We tried Celebrity last year to Alaska. Planning on doing a Trans Pacific on them in May 2017.

Having cruise princess in recent years, I have seen a decline in a lot of areas.But we went there to relax and unwind and we spent quality time with each other and Princess got that right. On the other hand, I do remember their housekeepers used to be on the ball without us having to put anything on the door. I quess they are cutting corners there. The nickel and diming is also ridiculous. They advertise come back new?? Does that mean refreshed or materially refreshed??

princess is targeting an older demographic now, you can go get lots more popcorn, its free at the ice cream counter. Dinner always takes forever on any ship on any line in the dining rooms.did you put your sign out on your door so the steward knew you were out and wanted the room cleaned? We like Princess but find it is becoming s snoozefest, especially with sea days at the pool and short live music sessions at the pool. All cruise Ines should keep the live reggae bands at the pool, Carnival has a disc jockey now... yuk
