Review summary
We have sailed 3 times on Princess - The Crown seems to need a bit of TLC. Our cabin wasnt the cleanest one we have ever had - lots of dust - the shower drained very slowly - but was fixed when we asked. The caulking in the bathroom looked as though I did it! The menus could use a little perking up - not as much variety as I remember. The elevators are very frustrating - the floor indicators appear to mean nothing, and offer little hint as to if and when an elevator will arrive. A few "forward" and 'aft" signs would be a great idea too! The shore excursions were very good. Especially the Skagway train ride. A better system of boarding in ports would be a great idea - maybe at peak times, one for going onboard and one for getting off instead of stopping traffic one way. Also, perhaps a way to handle wheelchairs a bit better would be a good idea. OF all the ports, Victoria was a total waste of time. We arrived after 7pm and the ship left at 11. Not much time, and it was pitch dark when we finally got into the city after 8pm. I think we will wait a while before we cruise again...
