Crown Princess Voyage

Sail Date: May 17, 2014

Reviewed: 2 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

The Crown Princess was a nice ship. didn't have the glitz and glamour that other cruise line ships had. Food in Dining room was fair, steaks were tough and meat was fatty. You would think that being in Alaska you would experience Salmon fixed in many different ways but didn't. We missed the enthsiasm of the cruise directors in getting people involved w/ all sotrs of programs and games onboard, unlike Carnival and Royal Carr. Don't get me wrong we had a great time seeing the Glaciers and the ports, just lacked something on board ship itself.

Ship Quality
The Putt Putt in bad need of repair !
Food and Dining
Food just didn't have the taste and flair that we are use too. And didn't get to experience salmon fixed in different ways
Service and Staff
Mark and Lorralie table 127 in Botchetelli Dining room were outstanding
Stage shows were OK not up to par w/ Carnival or Royal Carbb
Onboard Activities
Lacked the enthusiasm from cruise staff
Destinations and Excursions
Cabin / Stateroom
We were in cabin # E510
Whittier (Anchorage), Alaska
By the time we arrived in Whittier by train we went directly to ship
Cruise Hubbard Glacier
Awesome, go out on bow of ship
Cruise Glacier Bay
Views are breath taking
Skagway, Alaska
Watch your time and booking of tours, so you have time in Skagway itself
Juneau, Alaska
Watch your time in port and plan your tours accordingly so you have time in Juneau
Ketchikan, Alaska
It rained down in buckets so didn't get to visit Ktchikan but did go on our river cruise
Vancouver (Canada Place), British Columbia
We had an extra day in Vancouver and saw alot but you need 3 days or more to really see everything.
