The ship was beautiful, the cabins were a nice size and the service was excellent. The Western Carribean Ports were beautiful and they offered many interesting excursions. The food, however, was not great. There was plenty to eat but just not the quality I expected. Overall a good experience.

We had never heard of this curisline before and were so glad that we gave them a try. We really enjoyed the cruise and the ship and would recommend it to our friends and family. It was a very easy ship to get around on. I almost never got lost!

Very nice. Was not crowded. Food was okay. Shows okay. I have a negative bias because the Costa agent told us that the Balcony was covered in the rear. IT WAS NOT. We had salt spray, sun, rain and cigarette butts on us. We asked on purpose if the Balcony was covered in the rear and was told yes.

This was our first and last cruise with Costa Cruises. The ship was nice and clean, but the rooms are smaller than other cruise lines. Better bring your own shampoo and conditioner because shower gel is all you get. If you want body lotion or bar soap, you need to request. The food was substandard, not the 4 stars that we thought we'd be enjoying. The dining room and buffet menu were the same every day, the only difference being whether you wanted to dress up or not. The only late night "snacking" was pizza and hot dogs (4 stars??). If you wanted to eat in the specialty restaurant (costs extra) good luck getting a reservation. There were only 2 shows out of 7 that we didn't walk out of. The staff was pleasant but requests took a long time, sometimes didn't get what you wanted because they didn't understand you.

We had a great vacation on board the Costa Mediterranea and I would recommend the ship to anyone interested in cruising. We enjoyed the multi-national aspect of the cruise and the strong continental flair. Everything was spotless all of the time. Our suite was fantastic - roomy, plenty of storage space and had a very roomy balcony with a great wooden chaise lounge, table and chair. The entertainment was great from the lounge singers to the shows.

The itinerary was very good; the food was okay. We expected more good Italian food from an Italian line. Pasta dishes were good; pizza was not. We ate mostly in the dining room and had excellent service. Staff couldn't do enough for us and most spoke English. The staff Customer Service desk were difficult to communicate with so we had to wait for an English-speaking host who only had certain hours. Shows were excellent; no hassling about drinks but service abounded. Extremely clean ship; staff claned constantly. Very accommodating. We had a verandah suite and it was very roomy. Shopping was okay on board, but same old merchandise was displayed except in different areas. Transportation to ports was fine; tenders ran frequently. We probably would not cruise again on this line as we are very American and the many langauges spoken were somewhat annoying. But that's the price to pay for a foreign cruise line. Interior designs were overly grandeur and over-the-top Italian!

we loved this cruise more than any we have ever been on(approx 12) . The employees seemed to be treated very well which came across in the way they treated the visitors.They were happier .They wee also not so pushy when it came to serving cocktails( by the pool especially ). I think the tips were pooled so that they all shared equally. None were to forcefull in their sales which was so nice.

The ship was great. It was easy to move around and find everything. The decor was impressive and everything was very clean.

The ship is gaudy but nice. The staterooms are excellent. The service was quite good. The food was not very impressive, although the pasta was good. The itinerary was good. The people on this ship were not a pushy to get people to buy drinks as on some other cruises I have been on.

Ship design and crew were great. Food selection was spectacular. Great ports of call, but spent too little time in certain ports, San Juan and Nassau. Otherwise, highly recommended.

Just wanted to say that the people working on that ship were very nice, polite and very helpful in any way possible. Robinson our cabin steward was so nice and always spotless in our room. The guys at the dinning restaurant were very sweet and funny with always a wonderful service. We have to recommend William, who had a wonderful smile on his face always and such a beautiful life attitude, it was pleasant to see that ;) And also Sunny and Roland his assistant, very charming! Everything was well organised from start to the end but i have to say that the excursions info was a bit confusing at the counter downstairs. We did not had the right info from some and others had it perfect on the spot. There was the St-John Excursion that we had beed told it was a boat-scuba trip with a beach we could swim to... it was a boat trip and bus trip after that to spens 1h30 on the beach total... just was not what we expected thats all ;) I have to admit the Catalina beach day was wonderful with great buffet on the beach and drinks... very good trip right from the boat! Loved the San Juan port... wished had been there earlier in the day though then 5pm to see more of the architecture of the city and the people. In all, it was a fine trip and we loved our honeymoon ;) Thank you!

Large beautifully decorated ship with plenty of activities going on in mulitiple venues. The Italian style food was delicious and plentiful. The buffet area was beautifully situated with multiple window seating and food stations were organized in various locations so that waiting for food was kept at a minimum. The staff was fun and nice and cared to make a good time. The five languages spoken on the ship was interesting and exciting. While the boarding process was a bit disorganized and time consuming, it was definitely worth the wait getting on board the beautiful Costa Mediterranea!

Waiters in dining room were not properly trained to serve. I had to grind my own pepper for my salad and have the waiter reach across the table to put another dinner in front of my guests. Drinks were poured to exactly 3/4 shots. Food was not up to par, fair at best. The cabin help were great. The ship didn't have the opulance expected. There is no grand staircase for pictures. Pools were small and the hot tubs were warm not hot. I prefer Celebrity. i will never go on another Costa cruise again.

we really had a relaxing cruise

The ship was very clean and most of the staff was terrific. Unfortunately, the ship offered little for children. I would not recommend this cruiseline for anyone with children.

Had a terrific time and would go back again.
