Large beautifully decorated ship with plenty of activities going on in mulitiple venues. The Italian style food was delicious and plentiful. The buffet area was beautifully situated with multiple window seating and food stations were organized in various locations so that waiting for food was kept at a minimum. The staff was fun and nice and cared to make a good time. The five languages spoken on the ship was interesting and exciting. While the boarding process was a bit disorganized and time consuming, it was definitely worth the wait getting on board the beautiful Costa Mediterranea!
Tried to get out and walk at this port; but was advised against it. We like to walk around port towns to try and get the flavor of the village or town. Since we came in at night and there was only one option of going on a shuttle to a show, we were hoping to walk around and explore the village. As soon as we left the gates (against the better judgement of the security guards) we were approached for money for 'walking tours' and decided to turn back to the ship. Would have been nice to have had some transportation provided by the ship to town and a little direction as to where we could safely explore.

Nassau offers a lot of intersting sites. We walked around the back areas and talked to a wood carver and bought two of his pieces. He recommended walking to a fishing area, which we did and tried the local beer, Kalik (very good).
San Juan was a good port town to walk around and shop as well as experience the local flavor. We walked to the fort along the water - fun and interesting.
