Review summary

I will not be using Costa again, I don't feel like it is the right cruise line for our family. We loved the ports and some of the staff was very friendly but unfortunately, the ones that were not outnumber them.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Breakfast and lunch items were repetitive with very long lines at the buffet and long waits at the restaurant. There is nothing to eat in the afternoon or after 10pm unless you pay for it. No ice cream or pizza or snacks, unless you pay for it. I've never seen this in any of the other 4 cruise lines I've used.

Onboard Activities

1 out of 5
The shows in the theater were awkward and hard to watch with the exception of the gymnast couple. The other events were directed to the older crowds, there was nothing for younger people to enjoy other than one or two night in the "disco".

Entertainment

Children's Programs

Nothing special, they just hang out.

Service and Staff

2 out of 5
Other than Arturo, our waiter and the gentleman in charge of our cabin who were wonderful and very accommodating, everyone else was short, couldn't be bothered and sometimes even rude.

Perfect! it was the highlight of the cruise.

Ship tip

The itinerary is amazing but keep the expectations low when it comes to food and entertainment, at least for everyone younger than 50.

Had to wait 3 hours in a lounge area to come down the ship. It just felt like another opportunity for the cruise ship to make money off of you, captive audience for hours.
