Review summary

There are people from many European and Asian countries on the cruise, but announcements were made in 5 languages succinctly and quickly, not a problem! There were long lines at the hospitality desk almost all of the time. The people working at the desk were patient. Maybe having money changing in a different area or more desk workers would be helpful. I stood in line for 1/2 hour to recover my purse which I had left at the table and knew that a woman had taken it to the desk. People seemed patient, but such long waits don't make for goodwill.

Embarkation

For us, it went smoothly, a little waiting in line.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The food was good. Sometimes entrees in main dining room were large, sometimes small. Plenty of food in buffet, usually good.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Lectures were very interesting, fitness classes and massages excellent. Gymnasium had new equipment, good variety, high quality.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Shows were top quality. Interesting that we did have a special show for Christmas eve.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All good, friendly, seemingly happy.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Very clean!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Very clean, spacious, plenty of storage.

Ship tip

Bring American money. Long lines at desk to change money.

Ports of call

Nassau, Bahamas

5 out of 5
Plenty to do, town is near port so easily accessible.

Grand Turk Island

Governor's Beach clean and not crowded. Picked up a handful of sea glass, which was fun. Snorkeled from beach, Ok but not spectacular. Town very small, not much there.

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata), Dominican Republic

5 out of 5
Took taxi ride, shared with another couple, otherwise very expensive. Taxi driver listened to our wishes, took us to see interesting sights such as pig roast, rum tasting, various neighborhoods (rich and poor, country and city). We told him we did not want to shop, and he did not insist on taking us shopping. He spoke excellent English and shared much about life in the Dominican Republic.

Key West, Florida

5 out of 5
The ship left at 3:30, so not enough time there! We were glad we decided to take the Conch Train so that we could see a lot in a short amount of time. Hemingway House and Sloppy Joe's were very interesting. Not time to do much else.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Passport control was well organized as was debarkation.
