Overall the itinerary of this cruise is fine and the NATURAL BEAUTY of the scenery is GREAT even though we had several rainy days. The ship itself on the outside looks good and the public spaces are less run-down. I WANT TO EMPHASIZE THAT THIS REVIEW IS TARGETED TO OUR EXPERIENCE AS A SUITE GUEST. In no way shape or form should anyone consider this a review of the natural beauty of Alaska - all of that is GREAT and we highly recommend everyone make this a destination a goal. This wasn't our first trip, and this wasn't our first encounter with Alaska. We know how it should be done, and we were very excited to try it from the viewpoint of a more deluxe suite room. The main problem this review is targeting is the fact that we had a lot of problems with the (more expensive) room, and yet Princess did absolutely nothing to rectify the situation. We specifically got the suite because we really wanted to experience the absolute best that Princess could offer - but we were very disappointed. It wasn't the fact that the suite was in very poor condition: broken decking on balcony, dirty moldy cushions on outside chairs, shower not working, hair dryer not working (had to use spa shower facilities) and so on. That's one thing. The worst part was the Princess didn't care to take care of anything - after talking to room steward, calling front desk on ship, going to front desk on ship... the response was always "Oh we'll send someone up right away to take care of that"... Except nobody ever showed up. We saw maintenance crews in the hallway for sure - but our room never got fixed. I even tried calling Princess from Skagway, and all they said was to talk to the front desk on the ship. The real punch line is when got back and contacted Princess customer relations: they tell us it'll be a 10 week wait for any response. Edit: Got a call from Princess today saying that the NEW Timeline for a response from Customer Relations is now 10 to 16 weeks. I did want to try and contact Princess before posting this review, but I've given up. That's how much Princess cares about their passenger experience. We didn't come back "new"...We came back "disgusted".

Never had much time in ports so we could shop after returning from excursions. We feel the ship had to many mechanical issues. Room had issues, WI FI had issues, prices on ship were way to costly. Never had these problems on other Princes Cruises?

Buffet needs more variety Vegan choices would be helpful and a better selection of vegetarian foods

Not sure how long it has been since this ship has been refurbished, but it seemed a bit “tired”. That said, this shouldn’t discourage anyone from taking this cruise. The ship has so much to offer and the service is amazing!

It was great. Alaska is amazing. There is so much to see. If you love the outdoors than Alaska must be on your bucket list.

I have been dreaming about taking an Alaskan cruise for nearly 40 years. I knew I wanted to go on Princess Cruises. The experience was beyond my wildest imagination! I've never been so relaxed and yet energized at the same time!

Although we have taken many cruises this was our second princess cruise I was a little hesitant to book another princess because our first one was not that great. But this cruise went above and beyond what I expected the ship was clean and the staff was friendly and the ship was up-to-date

Overall we enjoyed ourself but was not the five-star experience I was expecting

What a beautiful part of the world. This was my first cruise where I felt we were on the go constantly... so much to see and do.

The ship was amazing and all the staff were always kind and smiling. Food was always excellent in all the restaurants. We had a balcony room and was able to listen to commentary from glo, the naturalist as we stood on our balcony and took breathtaking pictures of the glaciers, whales, seals and bears. We did a 6 day land package also and was not pleased with how it was planned. Always having to rush to prepare for the next day.

Loved the cruise, Alaska and the princess lodges. The food was excellent. The only thing that was disturbing was the sled dog puppies they brought onboard. They were all fast ‘asleep’. So much so they picked them up and they just hung in their hands.

It was a great cruise from begging to end. There tended to be a little older crowd compared to the Carnival Cruises but not many of the younger kids probably want to go see the glaciers. I would definitely do it again.

A little hard to get around on ship. Some elevators didn't go to all the deck.

An Alaska cruise is worth it even on a dinghy. Only problem is the scenery and trip is such a constant high you may become used to the awesome sights.

We really enjoyed are cruise. We great weather and saw many things that pictures just can't compare.

Alaska cruise was a bucket list item and was every bit as enjoyable as we expected.

I loved it so much and miss the scenery so much! I also miss the hosts of all the game shows! The game shows on the cruise we’re a lot of fun!!

The only things that could considered complaints are the height of the beds in the handicap accessible staterooms. I had a really hard time climbing up into bed with my mobility issues. Then there are these thresholds all over the ship that are difficult for wheelchairs to get over. Even when someone else is pushing. The occasional raw sewage odor was none too appealing. But that happened only a couple times in 7 days. Otherwise, the cruise was incredible!!

Would do this cruise again and again. Outstanding service. So much to see and do. Watching the scenery change is amazing.
