Review summary

Alaska cruise was a bucket list item and was every bit as enjoyable as we expected.

Embarkation

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Food was disappointing, especially the seafood. We’ve had better food on previous Princess cruises. Some evenings the service in the dining room was extremely slow with dinner taking over three hours.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
All cruise staff we interacted with were extremely helpful and cordial. However, the ship’s Captain seemed rather aloof with much less interaction with passengers than the Captains of previous Princess ships we’ve sailed on.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Layout and design were comfortable and familiar.

Took excursion to Carcross by bus with return trip via narrow gauge railway. We really enjoyed the train ride and the scenery was breathtaking.

Took the lighthouse, totem poles, and eagles boat excursion, which was really well narrated.
