It was a great cruise from begging to end. There tended to be a little older crowd compared to the Carnival Cruises but not many of the younger kids probably want to go see the glaciers. I would definitely do it again.
Embarkation

We left out of Vancouver and the lines were quick and efficient
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
All of the food was very good. We thought the chocolate deserts we going to be fantastic because of the famous chocolate designers creations, but they were just OK. The Carnivals chocolate deserts were better.
Bordeaux Dining Room

The food was really good and the staff was excellent
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
we spent some time in the spa and they were very professional and we had a lot of fun there. The people at the pool seemed to have enough room and had a lot of fun.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The magician on board was excellent. He even held a class on how to perform some of your own tricks. The rock and roll show was also excellent but she had to leave the ship halfway through the cruise to go to another ship.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Everyone was incredibly friendly, professional and nice. All of the staff did everything they did to ensure we had a fantastic cruise. It was our anniversary so they paid extra attention to make sure we had a great anniversary.

cabin E633. We had more than enough room, our steward made sure we were happy with everything and he was excellent.
Ship tip
If you are doing the Alaska cruise, go from Vancouver to Whitter and get a balcony. You wont regret spending the extra money for the balcony and everyday, the beautiful sights get better every day!!
we went to the mendenhall glacier twice. In the morning we went to the visitors center were we saw a couple of small cubs in a tree and later in the after we saw the mother catch a salmon to feed to the cubs. Then we went on a hike through the woods to get to the waterfall at the Glacier. This was incredibly impressive.
This was another great excursion. We took a boat to a bus into the forest and then canoed to another glacier. That was another incredible sight to see. I was picking up smaller pieces of the glacier that had fallen off. Unbelievable.
We took our last excursion to Chugach National Forest. We went through this wildlife preserve. There was a lot of free animals and some that were in enclosures like a couple of moose. Great ending to our trip. When we flying home we could see the tops of all the glaciers you cant get to and also that they are all melting. Sad.
Wish would could afford balcony but I'm gonna be happy with obstructed view with french doors and spend money on few excursions. There are always the different decks to go to- to enjoy the views.
