Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Our dining team and beverage team in the main dining room were fabulous however the food standard wasn’t up to what we’ve experienced in the past. The fact that they charged an extra $20 plus service charge for an extra lobster entree was different than any other cruise we’ve been on in 35 years. Also, the specialty restaurants were much more experience than on other cruises. The bars were great. On other cruises we weren’t charged for room service, however it was nice that the morning continental room service was complementary.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
We tried to use the hot tubs, however none of them were working. The fitness center had old free weights, however the machines were newer. Also, the water containers weren’t fresh and clean when the fitness center opened at 6. They had left over water from the night before in them.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The shows were ok.

Children's Programs

We didn’t have children with us.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The service and staff were awesome. Jermaine and Kensa our dining staff were amazing. Gusto, our steward was awesome. The rest of the crew and staff were very friendly and helpful.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The ship was easy to navigate. The main areas and restrooms were well maintained, however the ship’s windows were difficult to see out due to the salt on them. Usually crews are constantly cleaning them on other cruises.

Cabin / Stateroom

Our cabin was amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed the balcony. Gusti was an amazing room steward and was available as we needed him. It was very clean and the layout was great.

Ports of call

Cape Liberty (Bayonne), New Jersey

We took a tour of NYC that was great.

Newport, Rhode Island

It was a nice port. The tour was great.

Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts

The businesses on this island didn’t seem receptive to tourists and most were closed. Restrooms were very limited. I wouldn’t recommend this port Our tour was ok, but once again restaurants and restrooms were limited. The tour guide was a long time tour business owner and he said if he still owned the business he would taken photos and complained to city hall about all of the issues: closed restaurants, disgusting full portable toilets and closed public restrooms. He had to take us off the tour to a fishing village to use functional restrooms and food.

Charleston, South Carolina

Charleston was awesome. We wish we had longer to tour. We took a horse and carriage tour through Shore Excursions and loved it.

Royal Naval Dockyard, West End, Bermuda

Bermuda was amazing. Great tour of the island. We would love to go back.
