Review summary

Enjoyable, relaxing 14 day cruise. Weather was very nice the first week but cool and some rain the second. It did not, however, affect anything that we wanted to do. Nice ports - not too large - and easy to navigate when exploring the area on foot. Not much leaf color yet, but there were pockets of color and that did not detract from the beautiful scenery and mellow ocean travel.

Great food and great service.

Onboard Activities

We really enjoyed the Beyond the Podium speakers who provided insight to the ports as well as interesting unusual topics related to the area.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our waiters and staff were helpful, efficient, and friendly. Room steward always available and efficient. I don't know how they "know" when we are out the room as it was always made up when we returned!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Well maintained and clean. There was always someone cleaning inside and out.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Good amount of storage. Beds comfy and linens were thick as were the towels. Cabin cleaned twice a day .

Ship tip

Cruisers mostly over 60. Lots of "senior" activities, but would not be enjoyable for teens or young adults.

We did the Acadia National Park and Cadillac Mountain excursion. Very interesting and enjoyable and beautiful. Lunch was lobster rolls, chowder, and local blueberry pie. Quite tasty!

We did two excursions: bus tour of Unesco's historic Quebec (local historical sites) and a walking tour of upper and lower Quebec up close and personal. Well done. Also enjoyed poutine at local restaurant.

Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island

No excursion. Wandered the area and enjoyed Cow ice cream on a misty, cool day.

Sydney, Nova Scotia

No excursions. Walked the nice boardwalk. They did have a local craft/vendor area on the pier with a nice variety of local items.

Halifax, Nova Scotia

No excursion on a rainy day. Walked the boardwalk and visited some shops. Purchased a book on the Halifax Explosion, which was new information for us.
