Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Everyone raves about cruise ship food...I am not a food critic by any means but was not disappointed nor overwhelmed with the food. Nothing was particularly stand-out, fruit was minimal due to the season, we were told. They rely on the island market availability on certain fruits and vegetables. You'll have to pay more for gourmet if that's what you expect. There are several restaurants that you can reserve and pay for upper level dining.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Didn't do much on board but noticed a lot of Karaoke, dancing, trivia, art auctions, bingo, etc. All seemed to be keeping guests busy and entertained!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
All shows were very entertaining and it's a great outlet for young performers to keep up their craft!

Children's Programs

Did not use but noticed groups of kids doing scavenger hunts and other fun group activities on board.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All crew members are very dedicated...having to commit to 3-months or more with long hours and barely any time off while on board. We commend them all! Much appreciated!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Loved the size of this ship...and in great shape. Cleanliness and maintenance was constantly being looked after.

Cabin / Stateroom

We chose inside cabin for economy. The main bed was two twins put together and it was very firm but comfortable. The comforter is very thin and pillows quite flat. Once the third tiny twin was pulled out from the chair there was barely a squeeze through path to the bathroom (after we had our room attendant take away the desk chair in front of it) We barely spent time in the room so these are not complaints...just observations for others to plan ahead. Bathroom was better than on previous other cruise ship. Towels were always plentiful and I was pleasantly surprised that they provide you with beach towels to take off the ship on excursions. I had packed my own but could have used that space in the suitcase more wisely.

Ship tip

Save most shopping energy for the last stop on St. Thomas! We purchased jewelry (exactly the same) at less than half the price offered on other islands...I booked all of the excursions in advance of the cruise to be sure that we

Ports of call

San Juan, Puerto Rico

LOVE SAN JUAN, PUERTO RICO! Have been before and will visit again!

Bridgetown, Barbados

Harrison's Cave was interesting, and the trip included a scenic drive to and from with local driver commenting and pointing out all features of the island. Good experience overall. Grabbed a roundtrip cab after excursion to go see Sandy Lane Beaches for about an hour visit...Gorgeous!

Castries, St. Lucia

Rainy arrival spooked many people with excursions planned...once we took the boat out to our snorkle destination between the Pitons the sky cleared and was beautiful for the rest of the day! Snorkeling was the best experience I have had so far, saw cuddlefish, eels, butterfly fish, parrot fish, many others! Very clear and easy area right off shore.

St. John's, Antigua

Panoramic Island Tour with beach break at the end...Gorgeous!

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

4x4 jeep tour...Drove through Dutch side to get to French side for the rest of the day. Stopped at Airport Beach for crazy experience of airplanes landing low right overhead, then off to the beach break at a more beautiful site with tons of activities (jet-skis, parasailing, massage hut, good food, etc)

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

All beaches are pretty far from port. We did an excursion that included Kayaking, a hike and snorkeling. They wouldn't allow us to bring cameras and charge $45 for photo CD afterwards. We didn't expect the kayak portion to kick our butts like it did...be prepared! Best Island for shopping BY FAR!
