Review summary

We loved it, we had a great time and it was relaxing and so much fun. My sister and I shared a room and our brother and his wife were next door. Great way to travel as a family. My sister's first time to Alaska so it was fun seeing it through her eyes.

Embarkation

Easy embarking, went smooth and quick.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Food was great, service was good and lots of healthy choices. We mostly ate buffet because that's what our group decided. Lots of variety and all delicious.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We loved the adults only solarium. Very comfortable with lots of seating options plus they have breakfast and lunch options that are healthy. Hot tub and pool. But they allowed kids in in the late afternoon, that seemed odd.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
We enjoyed the comedy and the magician. Production shows were nice, dancing and singers were spot on. They had a couple classical shows and we decided not to attend.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Very good service and attentive, never a long wait ar guest relations.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Very nice layout of the ship, easy to get elevators and the library and game room were nice areas to play and read. Always had cleaning crew keeping it fresh. Most everyone was amazing, constantly cleaning public bathrooms almost after each use.

Cabin / Stateroom

We had a balcony starboard side which is perfect for Alaska. We saw whales from the ship and sea lions. The room was large enough for 2, plenty of storage space Negative was our rooms were a disappointment when we arrived. Went to use the robes in our cabin hanging in the closet neatly but had dirty tissues in the pocket. Then when we unpacked our suitcases on the bed, on the floor was a book and empty water bottle that were left from previous people on the side of the bed. We did inform them and they came and cleaned the room again.

Ship tip

Solarium is so nice. If you book tours, we used Viator, not ship excursions and had private small tours that were cheaper than on board.

We did the duck boat tour, it was informative and fun. Walked around and shopped. We did the lumberjack show on a previous trip and that's fun too.

We went whale watching and also shopping down town. Very nice to just walk around. Do the tram, great views

Skagway, Alaska

Lots to see in town and it's small so easy to walk around. They also have shuttles, all day pass $5 or one way $3. Cemetery with waterfalls is nice. We did a small passenger van tour up to the summit and white pass to Canada. It was great, most people did the train but I had done that on a previous trip there.

Cruise Inside Passage, Alaska

Saw whales from out balcony.

Victoria, British Columbia

We rented a horse and carriage for the 4 of us. Private tour through Viator. $200 for the 1.5 hours so split 4 ways is pretty cheap. We saw deer, went through a park that had peacocks and wild deer. Lots of flowers and were told history of that beautiful town. So relaxing and we saw many huge tour buses with tons of people crammed on as we clomped along on Ike, our horse.

Disembarkation
