Review summary

I personally thing this cruise line is over priced. It’s a high end cruise line but there’s nothing to do on the ship. There’s no slides, rock climbing, shuffle board, bowling alley. Also I missed getting my towel animals!!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
All dining rooms, specialty and buffet food was very good

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
The ship is geared toward 60+ age group in my opinion. I traveled with a age range of 21-45 and we were all very bored on cruise days. The only activities they offered were bingo, trivia and golf putting.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
All entertainment was very good

Children's Programs

Only child I traveled with was a infant

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All staff went out of there way to help you.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Everything was very clean but the ship needs updating

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Cabin was very clean but the cabin is below the buffet dining area. Heard walking and chairs moving all day and evening long.

Beautiful. I love Sydney.

Newcastle, Australia

There is no dock so you have to take a tender to this port. It takes about 35 minutes each way.

Airlie Beach, Queensland, Australia

You have to take a tender for this port too.

Cairns, Australia

Perhaps a little research before booking would help. Clearly you asked no questions in advance.

No water slides, rock climbing walls, amusement parks, etc. is a huge plus for us. We don’t need to be entertained constantly to enjoy ourselves.

You are correct in sayingbthat Celebrity Solstice is geared toward the older person & that's exactly what we love about her. The adults only serenity pool area where tranquil music is played is simply bliss. Sorry this wasn't the cruise for you.

Celebrity is 5 stars all the way. You evidently did not do any research, especially on the location of your cabin. Check the decks to see what is above and below you. We only book cabins where there are only other cabins above and below.
