Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Food was very good in both the Dinning room and Buffet. Very Clean. I was excited to see several selections of sugarfree desserts every night that were wonderful. Cream Brule. Cakes. Ice cream. Cream filled concoctions.

Service and Staff

Captain Alex was fantastic. Personable and compassionate to all. He made sure to take the route slow in areas of interest, he notified us of near by whales or light houses. He even walked among us through out the week taking selfies. Wonderful personality. Staff was detailed and good at their job. No complaints.

Ship tip

Don't miss out on Victoria. So many people stayed onboard due to arriving in the evening /rain and it was a wonderful time. The city, Empress, Bridges, Buchert Gardens and Govmt buildings were all lit up. Such a beautiful place. Worth every moment.

Ports of call

Juneau, Alaska

Took the Glacier and whale watching tour. It was a awesome day. Many whales and the beautiful Mendenhall Glacier was fascinating. Only negative, was you only spend an hour at Glacier so not enough time to walk to it or the waterfall but you still have a great view.

Skagway, Alaska

This is the Port I learned all about Alaska and its history. Several Museums. Brothel. Train. We also visited a dog sledding team and went gold mining. We even ate fresh Alaskan cod and local beer. I'm very glad we had several hours to walk around. Very Neat Town.

Ketchikan, Alaska

Stayed at Port enjoyed the fishing town and the stores. They had several whales earlier that day near the dock.

Victoria, British Columbia

It was raining but didn't ruin the trip to the city. Cabin had umbrellas for us. We took a tour bus to see Victoria by night. Beautiful city all lit up. Very clean and taken care. We also had high tea at Buchert gardens which was very nice. Can't wait to go back and see gardens in the day light, however experiencing it by night was also special.

Cruise Inside Passage, Alaska

5 out of 5
I had no idea what to expect and it became the biggest highlight of my trip. Captain traveled slowly that entire day so we could get the total awe experience of the Mountains. Islands. Water. Air and icebergs. Unforgetable. We also ordered room service for breakfast so we wouldn't miss anything. So glad we choose this ship for the passage.

Seattle, Washington

Arrived by airplane and went straight to the ship but seen the Space Needle from the bus.

We went on the Solstice in August of 2015. Loved it so much. Delicious food, great ship, staff always friendly and helpful. Ports were fantastic. We didn't arrive to Victoria til 6 pm but still had time to do excursion to Butchart Gardens. It was still light when we arrived and stayed that way for a while. When it got darker it was still as beautiful. The huge gift shop was fun to explore and buy. We had a fantastic time.
