Review summary

We had a wonderful experience. From the ship, the crew was outstanding, and Captain Alex was the best. We had plenty of time while in the ports to explore and booked our own excursions that worked well with the times we were in port.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We dined in the sit down restaurants for breakfast & dinner. Food was excellent as was the service. Buffet was great but only ate twice there. Didn’t eat at any specialty restaurants.

Onboard Activities

Pools & hot tubs were great. Fitness center was adequate, clean & well organized.

Entertainment

Went to three shows and all were well performed. Good choreography sound was good though one speaker had a rattle sometimes.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Can’t say enough about the staff on this cruise. They exceeded expectations and truly made the cruise very enjoyable. Umesha in the main dining room went above and beyond to accommodate us during our meals. Mary/Grace his assistant was just as good. Every meal was an extremely enjoyable experience. Staff throughout the ship were friendly, personable, and took great care of us.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was very clean and organized. Staff was constantly cleaning & touching up areas.

Cabin / Stateroom

8112 was our cabin number. It was very clean and for a cruise ship acceptable size. The one area that was nice was that the shower area was a little larger than previous cruise ships I’ve been on. It was nice. The comfort aspect was fine but I wish the pillows were thicker, one was too thin and two were too much.

Ship tip

Avoid level 12 it’s where the designated smoking areas are outside and I prefer not to have to smell it.

It was fine, we did the City of Seattle tour with airport drop off. Columbia building observation deck, Pikes Place Market, and Starbucks headquarters were all nice to browse and shop at. Had lunch at Starbucks it was delicious.

Ketchikan, Alaska

Weather was perfect, sunny mid 60’s we walked on our own on the tour throughout the town and then took a Duck Boat tour which was okay but I wish they went more than just up n down the harbor area while in the water.

Weather was perfect upper 60’s and sunny. We walked into town and browsed and shopped them took an excursion in a small motor coach only 24 people and went to the Yukon Territory just 500:yds short of the Canadian Customs facility. Views and scenery were breathtaking and our guide Brian stopped many times to allow us to soak it in and take a lot of pictures.

We had the Celebrity Seattle City excursion with airport drop off so we were treated very well on leaving the ship, getting our luggage, and hopping on our tour bus. Very seamless and smooth.
