Review summary
I think Celebrity has a great staffs and trained their staff well on manner. However, we anticipated couple problem with some staff in dining room, guest relation and the securities staffs during getting off on a port. 1. First the staff on the 14th floor spoke rudely to me when I went and filled my water bottle on the water drinking machine. I admitted I didn't see the sticker saying I can't bring container to fill water, or if my mother -in-laws saw it she wouldn't be able to read the English as she speak little English. When one staff saw me did that, he walked to me and said in a rude voice "You can't do that!". He spoke to me as I wasn't a value customer on the ship. I could imagine if it were the chief of the dining room ( the french looking guy wearing tie at all time, and always stood there on the deck 14th), he would have at least said it softly with the "Madam" in the front, or with an "excuse me". I was so upset we got into couple sentence of argument and he walked away. This considering very bad experience for me. And when I told my aunt who is a US citizen, she said he discriminated me. ( that guy also an asian ethic, more Filipino looking), I didn't catch his name, but remember his face clearly. 2. Another staff on guest relation was being irritated. I came in to ask her to transfer the on-board credit from one room to mine. I did that a day earlier with another guy who was super friendly and helpful, he did the same process within 5 minutes without any issue. While with this woman, Iveta is her name, she was trying to make the process more difficult then it should be. She had me wait for 3 minutes while she strolled along and tried to find the paper forms. I told her I didn't need a form to do the transfer the day before, she spoke with her cold face without any smiling and said "But this is the right procedure.". So I admitted and waited for her. She finally found the form, had me fill it in and once I did I asked her when will the process be done. Her answer was "I have to give it to my accountant." I asked her again, "So what time will it be done, can you tell me , morning or afternoon?", she answered "During today." I asked again "Ok, will it be done by the end of today?? My mom would need that credit for shopping on the ship". She answered "During today." I got upset so I said to her "That isn't really helpful, but Thank you!" and I walked away. I told my husband what happened he was pissed and came back to the counter where Iveta was disappeared. Another girl was trying to help us when my husband insisted on speaking to the manager, she denied to call a manager and said she might be able to help. A minute later Iveta walked back, my husband said to another lady that Iveta hasn't been helpful at all and tried to irritate me on purpose. She made the process harder that it should be and the way she answer my questions was a very bad guest relation. She hasn't been train properly obviously. She just calmly said with her cold face "It will be done in 5 minutes I already gave it to the accountant!" I was even more furious and said " So Why didn't you said so when I tried to ask you when it will be done?" She said "You didn't tell me you need it quick, if so, I will do it. " ???? Is this acceptable in your opinion? Why would I kept asking when the process be finish if I didn't want it done soon? This girl made your ship staff fall from 5-3 stars, but I felt bad for the rest of good staff I changed it to 4 stars. Tea and Polina were great and helpful and I wrote her a great reviews. Iveta? You better think what to do with her. She shouldn't be on guest relation.Embarkation
