Review summary

We enjoyed it. Only a few gripes and we're fussy. Ports of call were excellent but didn't like 3 sea days before disembarcation - but again that may be us as I know some people love sea days

Embarkation

4 out of 5
OK. The computer system broke down so our photo Id's were done on security terminal on ship as we embarked

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The food is of a very good standard as is the service. We were in Blu as in Aqua Class. Only problem was a disorganised hostess who could neither speak or understand enough English

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Fitness areas are clean well prepared and fitted out with good new equipment

Entertainment

4 out of 5
We don't do main shows but I heard they are pretty average. However, the group's/ artists in foyer, bars etc were of a good standard with an Irish girl duo on cello and fiddle were outstanding with a great repertoire

Children's Programs

No kids

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Best steward we've ever had. Nothing was too much trouble and he managed to be friendly without being obsequious as many are.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The Solstice Class are well designed and flow well. Its getting a bit tired in places and a long way off from its next refit.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Normal good sized Aqua cabin. We configured as a twin and there was plenty of room. Quiet location. Gripes: Drawers didn't fit well and despite complaints not fixed. After 4 attempts by our steward they turned up at 7.15pm to fix them and were told to come back but never did. Glass scenes on balcony rallied like mad the wind. Fixed it with an old map and I wasn't the 1st.
