Review summary

Mixed feeling about this cruise celebrity could and has done much better than this. The ship is understaffed and attitudes was poor at best in part due to the extra cleaning required due to previous cruise have a flu outbreak (not my problem)

Embarkation

1 out of 5
Embarkation changed and I wasn't notified. We were 5 hours late of scheduled and from a remote location. It was disorganized contested. We had our muster training before everyone was on the ship

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Buffet food was fair, main dining was okay and of course for more money the speciality dining was much better. Because the previous cruise to ours had numerous customers with stomach flu our cruise endured the over use of sanitation. The cruise line believed spraying chemicals all over everything and leaving the sticky mess was the answer. For 1/2 of the cruise I had to clean everything before we eat, sat or touched everything. The second 1/2 was a normal Celebrity cruise.

Luminae

It's a family style serving that was very good. We did lunch and dinner here and got great food and service. Unfortunately, you have to pay extra for this venue. The included venues are no where near the same as those you pay extra for which is disappointing

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Bingo, casino, atrium entertainment and library.

Fortune's Casino

Service was okay Randy was great! The machines didn't pay well and the table game were typical of cruise ships.

Entertainment

Didn't go to them

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
With one exception the service was very good. In the buffet the staff were particularly rude and inattentive. We tried to avoid the buffet

Ship Quality

2 out of 5
Generally speaking the ship was very clean, it was the overuse of sanitizer that was on everything that was extremely annoying. I recommended they clean up the sanitizer on some frequency to get the massive build-up off surfaces, but they wouldn't.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
It was fine. We had good houskeeping

Ship tip

Stop nickel and dining us to death. Offer an inclusive package so it's not so irritating during the cruise. Would like to have gotten a message but your outrageous pricing turned me off. The excursions were pathetic. I won't ever book them again. Found the same excursion for 15% the cost on the dock. Several excursions were 3 hours driving and 20 minutes at the attraction
