Review summary

Our favorite part of the cruise was the beautiful Alaska scenery. I wish we had more time on excursions to experience it. The least favorite part was the crowds and constant sales pitches. The Celebrity beverage plans were unnecessarily complicated and caused lots of confusion with guests and crew. This confusion resulted in inconsistent services from the crew. Meals in the restaurants were good but we avoided the buffet on deck 14 because the food quality was poor, service was lacking and dining areas were not always kept clean.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Specialty restaurants were very good but buffet and snack food was poor. Most of our meals were in dining rooms on decks 3 and 4.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
We enjoyed the Beatles show but the dance and singing shows were awful. The singing was mostly unintelligible shouting. We enjoyed all of the live music groups.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Service was generally good but there were some times when food servers were inattentive such as not providing cutlery or forgetting an order. Our breakfast room service was almost always wrong.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Our cabin had an adequate amount of space in the bed and bathroom. Our stateroom attendant was very attentive and good at keeping everything clean. The only major concern was that our toilet was constantly in need of repair. Apparently someone in our plumbing zone kept flushing inappropriate items which caused the toilets for all of the neighbors to stop working. This problem occurred every day and sometimes multiple times in one day. The crew was able the toilets working each time after about 20 minutes but guests expect a toilet to work 100% of the time.

Time in Victoria short so get a tour guide. We took a great pedi-cab tour of the city and gardens.
