Review summary

Very friendly and attentive staff.  Bountiful food choices on the menu and in the cafe areas.  Lobster, steak, many salmon choices, rack of lamb and tons more.  Best tiramisu ever - not to mention the creme brulee and key lime pie.  Did I mention lot's more?  The stateroom was impeccable as was the service - including the breakfasts ordered the night before. Our steward, Michael, always asked if there was something more he could do for us.  I would suggest making reservations way ahead of time for the last night's dinner in the Epernay dining room.

Loved the "historical" presentations, by Miss Amanda, on the history on Juneau, Skagway and the Titanic. The talk on Eagles was unique and most informative. The evening shows were so-so, but the one on the Beatles was very good.

Michael in the stateroom. Russell in the dining room. The hostesses at the reservation stands and the dining room manager. Always service with a smile and even called folks by their first names.

Perfect. Michael was most attentive and friendy.

Ship tip

For example: Alter your meal times for lunch and supper, no lines usually and always plenty of foods in the full buffet on the 14th floor. Lots of healthy choices for a diabetic. We used room service for coffee and breakfast most morning. I am not familiar with any other food services on the ship.

Good shopping. The gold panning trip was very touristy, but almost a must. Caribou Crossing has goods that are all Alaska made by local artists.

Skagway, Alaska

Would have enjoyed more time here. Tho we did take the shore trip to the Yukon. Booked it privately as it was not offered thru the ship. It was great. It is available via cruises.com

Stay was too short to really do anything.
