Review summary

Great ship, environment, ports and staff! Weather was excellent in the med- just a shame we lost two days due to dodgy weather.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Travelling with a disabled person meant we got extra special service. Lots of help from the car to the cabin!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Main Dining Room was excellent - plenty of choice even if you are fussy like I am! The steak on the first chic night was better than the steak in the Tuscan Grille! The Ocean Vjew Cafe was great, plenty of fresh food and choice. Mast grill did a great burger and fries!

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
I joined the guest choir and after four rehearsals we performed in the main stage in the theatre! What a treat! Lots of quizzes and games. Not much for the kids, which meant they were running around and annoying some of the other guests! Pools were great - solarium was best if you don’t want screaming kids around - although the crew had to keep asking some kids to leave the pool and they tried it on! Casino was great fun. I had a facial - be warned my therapist changed the facial she gave me without telling me and expected me to pay more at the end. I refused and said I would pay what I was expecting - she agreed. She also added 20% tip - even though I had prepaid tips, I wad told this doesn’t count.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
On the whole thus was good. The live music, singalong ABBA and Queen nights were a laugh. The silent disco was great! The shows were goo, except or one comedian, who wasn’t funny at all.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
They cannot help you enough. Everybody makes you feel special! Excellent staff!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Great for disabled access - our accessible cabin even had an automatic door! I know she is due a refit, but I only saw a few places which needed updating. I still think she is a stunning ship!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Cabin 3104 is an accessible cabin. Excellent space to park a wheelchair and scooter. Plenty of space to manoeuvre around. Hand rails in the bathroom and an accessible wet-room with seat.

Ship tip

Don’t use shop excursions, save money and go solo!

Ports of call

Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy

5 out of 5
Amazing city! Trevi Fountain still takes my breath away! Private excursion for the day meant we were driven right up to every main sight! Well worth it and so much cheaper than the shop excursion!

Gibraltar (U.K.)

3 out of 5
Great for shopping! Didn’t make it up the rock as it was quite far to walk from the ship to the rock.

Lisbon, Portugal

Half day ships tour was alright. Most key sights were seen, but not much of an explanation.

Barcelona, Spain

5 out of 5
Beautiful city. Hop on off bus excellent for disabled person.

Marseille (Provence), France

Not much to see here, in my opinion. Nice harbour for a drink and lunch.

Disembarkation

Excellent support again from the ship to the car! Cannot fault the staff support!
