Not my crowd and not enough fun but otherwise an excellent cruise.

Review summary

Great itinerary but the entertainment director should be fired cause I was not entertained.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Very efficient.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
In room food wasn’t very good but everything else was great.

Onboard Activities

1 out of 5
Hardly any physical activities on board compared to other cruise lines.

Entertainment

1 out of 5
The performances were not spectacular and the comedian didn’t make me laugh. The staff failed to get people in the mood to enjoy themselves.

Children's Programs

Didn’t bring my kids this time.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff was exceptional which is something that we quite enjoy about this cruise line.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Perfectly clean and well maintained but the layout sucks compared to Royal Caribbean. It definitely seemed like there were more cabins than there should have been on this ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Cabin was fine. Closet seemed to be missing essential storage features but the space above the headboard made up the difference.

Ship tip

Make friends with the bartenders at the sunset bar early on in the cruise. It’s the best bar on the ship.

Ports of call

St. John's, Antigua

4 out of 5
Best kiteboarding school in the world is located on the far side of the island.

Bridgetown, Barbados

4 out of 5
Very nice island. Plenty to see. Very cool beach out at white sands beach.

Castries, St. Lucia

5 out of 5
Amazingly friendly people and one of the coolest islands I’ve ever been to. Fully intend to go back.

St. George's, Grenada

5 out of 5
Also one of my favourite islands. So many cool things to see and try out. Wicked rum distillery and so many spices, and chocolate galore! That being said we did a very thorough tour so I don’t really need to go back. There’s also no decent surfing or Kiteboarding beaches there so it doesn’t warrant a second visit for me.

Oranjestad, Aruba

4 out of 5
Wicked party island and crazy shallow beaches but the tours are limited. If you do the atv tour you’ve done it all.

Willemstad, Curacao

4 out of 5
Fairly cool island. Huge history of plantations. Awesome pistol anomaly on the east side of the island where the waves pressurize a cavern and shoot water back out and up. And the Curacao liqueur distillery is definitely where to get your souvenirs!

Kralendijk, Bonaire

5 out of 5
Also a favourite island of mine. Not over populated, but populated with wealthy peoples summer homes. Lots of natural beauty and an awesome kiteboarding scene at the South west corner of the island.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Also very efficient but we were some of the first guest off the ship that morning.

I travelled on the Eclipse last May and Eddie Jenkins was the cruise director then too. I thought he was great... Very funny and entertaining. The acts were great too!

I'm doing reflection in March. As long as it is clean and good food , I'm happy. I go to relax and enjoy the sun and weather on the islands so don t really care about the entertainment. I must be one of the old ones. Lol

Have to agree. We did the same cruise Nov2017 and we were not fans of his

Should have checked the reviews before buying. Reflection caters to older crowd and entertainment always gets bad reviews. They do make up for this with service and food.
